I got 2 calls yesterday-1 call today says he has been recieving reports that my computer has malware viruses & wants me to turn my computer on to give him access to fix it -

I just got my new cell phone with a new cell company. Waiting for my old number to transfer. Today (this is day 3 having this phone and new number) I have gotten 6 calls from this strange number. Have not answered it because I refuse to answer numbers I don't know. I got home from work and did a google search on where this number is coming from and found this site.

Claimed to be from Microsoft saying my computers are full of viruses. He had a thick Indian accent and quickly got ugly with me when I interrupted him telling him I didn't appreciate the scam. It got loud and sassy real quick.

Caller asked for previous owner of phone number by Name (company cell phone) I stated they no longer used this phone and that it was a company phone, Was there a message I could take. They said oh no we will call back later.... I had just told them they could NOT reach that person at this number. It was an Indian accent with a lot of back ground noise, hard to hear the actual caller. 4/23/13 12:19 PM

I got a call like that one time. Some lady had called me saying I had won a !0,000 Scholarship. I wasn't even going to college at the time, NOR had I applied for one. She wanted my bank info and I told her I hadn't applied for one and no, she wasn't getting ANY more info on the phone. I think either I hung up or she did.
