I saw this posting for a rental in Huntersville NC for $700 on Craigslist, going by the name of Ashley Thomson.  I did some digging, and this person definitely did their homework.  The owner of the property is Chery and Russell Thomson.  Through a Google search, I did find that an Ashley Thomson, that lives in St. Cloud FL may be related to the owners.

Anyway, here is the email that I received in response to my inquiry about the property.  It definitely seems very form letter-ish:

I got this SAME EXACT e-mail fro "Terry Johnson" and mine came out of nowhere as well. I have already had one person try to scam me by sending me a fake check and I told this Terry gyuuy about it and I said that I will report anyone that tries to scam me and he still continued and said he is sending me a check. I will be reporting this person as well!!! Did you report him by any chance?
