- MadThey just called my house at 8:32pm on a Sunday evening. Too bad for them because if I don't recognize a number, I don't answer. Besides Ft.Myers, Fl is the [***] of the state. If Florida were going to get an enema, Ft. Myers is where they'd insert the nozzle.
- concerned:I have received a couple of calls from this telemarketing company or scammer. Not sure which, as the numbers they gave me to verify the survey were BAD!! So, to the SRBI poster - I am sorry but I think that it's B.S.
The "survey" was for New Hampshire University doing a national study for child safety. They were asking questions about my children at home, their ages, etc. They got as far as knowing that I have children and ages before I stopped the questioning. How is giving out all of the information on my children for their "safety???" They gave me the numbers to verify the survey, which were bad. They called back again, and would not accept "No thank you, I don't feel comfortable taking this survey. Please don't call again." They were persistent, rude and insistent that I answer their questions. Since when is are these surveys MANDATORY?? Do I not have the right to refuse?
Sorry, SRBI employee, but you guys are rude FIRST, and get what you give. I'm reporting the calls to the FTC and other agencies.- Caller: SRBI
- Mr. ScottI keep this getting this number on my caller id, but no message. I looked up SRBI's office in Ft. Myers Florida and found a phone number for them. It is 239-278-4044. Call the heck out of them and aggravate them like they bother us. These people need a good law suit.

- TexasBeing exempt from the do not call list doesn't make your harassing behavior Okay. It just makes it impossible to get away from.
You want to know why people don't do these "surveys"? Because punk kids and "poor old folks" who do this are pathetic about security. You don't care whose lives you ruin with your indiscriminate distribution of information. You just get paid to collect it. What do you care?
Why do people take time to make complaints? So you WILL STOP.
I cannot use smaller words so you will just have to get a dictionary.
They make complaints SO YOU WILL STOP. - SRBI EmployeeFirst of all, I'm sorry about your bad experiences with the company I work for, I think there are some people who are rude on the phone, but those people are eventually fired. And what was that about fort myers being the [***] of the state? Fort Myers is one of the largest tourist locations in FL along with Orlando and Key West (very much off-topic).
ANYWAY, I'm NOT an [***] (I'm actually a nice guy!) but I do have my limits like any of you. I come on this dumb forum to try to calm people down about their complaints, when you guys just really want to STAY angry. There's nothing I can say that will satisfy you all, so I give up. I shouldn't have posted in the first place, because I should have known that I was just gonna get blamed for everything negative you've experienced pertaining to SRBI.
"You don't care whose lives you ruin " --Texas
-I honestly don't think we've ruined any lives by calling for a survey, c'mon get real. - RayI keep getting these phone calls and when I answer there is no one there. How can I stop these calls.
- RLI received two calls from this number recently and they stated they were doing a survey for the FL Dept. of Health. I didn't believe them and sent the DOH an email asking if they are conducting a survey. Here's what I received:
Good afternoon, The Florida Department of Health received your question regarding a telephone survey that we are conducting. This survey is conducted annually to provide important information about health conditions and diseases, behaviors, and emerging health issues. The results of this survey are used to develop and improve health programs throughout Florida. Your telephone number was randomly selected to participate in this survey. This is an anonymous survey. Once you complete the survey your responses are compiled with responses from thousands of other Florida residents, and your telephone number is removed from our records. If you would like more information about this national survey effort, please check out the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) website: www.cdc.gov/brfss. Please feel free to contact me if you would like any additional information. Sincerely,Melissa Murray Melissa R. Murray, M.S. So, it appears to be legit and legal for them to call EVEN IF you're on the do not call list because it's sponsored by a gov't agency. - enema_in_uranusJust thought the klingon employee at SRBI should know that I'm only 2 hours away and would gladly discuss this in person. Maybe we could meet for dinner after 7Pm? I'll call you a dozen times a day and see when might be convenient. FYI, Ft Meyers is not a tourist destination, Ft Meyers Beach maybe, but not Ft Meyers. The only people that like it are people who have lame jobs terrorizing innocent people at random and rednecks with big sportfishers. Federal exemption does not cover vigilante acts of justice. This is still America. Go choke on your headset.

- TThe company call centers. Haven't tried any of the numbers but I thought some people might like to call and explain to them how much you enjoy getting called MULTIPLE times a day. Surveys are fine but the Second someone asks to be removed from their calling list, the calls should END.

- Son of SAM8:40pm So it begins! As long as there have been phones... there have been pricks with phones! I have a real desire to shoot the prick on the phone that calls me at 8:40pm for a survey! My dog told me to kill them!!!
- SRBI Employee #2I'm going to put all of this as clear as possible. If you do not want to do a survey then it's very very easy. Tell the caller to code you as a #18 Hard - Refusal. It will baffle them and they will do it, and you will not be called back. I suggest you answer though, because of course they are going to call a few times a night if it's an answering machine. You won't be called twice in the same night if you answer and talk.
Second, everything SRBI does is legit. They do things from Florida DoH surveys, to University surveys, to political polls for Pew Research and Time Magazine, and also other random surveys. Why don't you google SRBI, or look at the Time magazine poll a few weeks ago and see who conducted it? Do you think that those polls and research comes out of mid air? Maybe you should research the amount of good market research does to this country. If it wasn't for the nationwide CDC survey then they would not know what areas are at risk for certain diseases, therefore could not appropriate federal funding as effectively.
People need to think before they scream and whine about a company calling. Simply pick up the phone, tell them it's a hard refusal, and get on with your life. If you screen your calls, you deserve to be called a few times because surveys are usually only done over a week's period in time and they want as many contacts as possible.
Oh, and to people who think that being rude works. It doesn't. If you are rude to me I can personally guarantee you will be called again. The people who are polite and treat me like a human being and genuinely say no do not get called again. Most other employees at this company are the same way. Being nice will get you a long way. - Don't call meWe were out one evening and received 2 calls from this number one at 6:15 and the other at 7:47. No message was left.

- rexthey called saying they were with university of pennsylvania. i asked for info and started to curse them out. they hung up and i called them all night!
- concernedWe have an elderly and partially disabled person in our household. This company has called three times. We are on the Do Not Call list for a reason. I don't care if your company is exempt. Many companies have the common decency to respect this list even though they are exempt. The person in our house could injure themselves trying to get to the phone thinking it was an important call. Also, you do not bother to leave a message. Please respect the do not call list and think that there might be people who have a good reason for being on it. Not to mention that you are forgetting who pays the phone bill.

- DJI have been receiving calls from this number for the last 3 nights; it comes up as SRBI on the caller ID. When I answer the phone they hang up; when they call and I'm not home, they do not leave a message; when I call the number it just rings. How do I go about reporting this number to the proper authorities if I don't know who is calling or what it is they are looking for? Any suggestions?
- Donnathis came in on a restricted line have registered at do not call and have secruity screen so should not have come thru
- BonTo SRBI employee #2 - what you are saying is not true.
I answered the phone two weeks ago out of curiosity and talked to woman who said she was doing a survey on health care. She said she couldn't talk to me, only an 'adult male'. As it happened, the 'adult male' in the house was very busy and said he'd rather not participate in telephone surveys, and would they please add us to their 'do not call' list.
We were both very polite. There was no yelling, screaming, swearing or whining - the woman was quite pleasant in fact.
Unfortunately what has happened now is it has apparently opened up the SRBI floodgates. We are getting at least three calls a day, every day, including Sundays and even three times on the holiday (MLK day).
We are also now getting additional calls from a third number that is identified on the ID as "Health Survey" at 201-474-2953.
SRBI's 239-278-4044 number comes over as "Unknown" but shows the number, and the 239-415-4400 is ID'd as SRBI.
So tell me again how to get them to stop incessantly ringing our phone ?- Caller: SRBI
- keppel smallgot a call from srbi from 239-415-4400. did not answer. then of course i googled the number. if the comments are correct from the above person claiming to be an employee of the company i thank you for explaining just what the company does. but i will not respond to you calls simply because i was put on the do not call list for just such reasons. if this company is exempt from the list why be on it ? sorry will just continue to ignore these types of calls.
