Does everyone have verizon phones here? Wondering if that's the culprit. I don't have Becu but got the call

left a voicemail that sounded like a printer

Got this call also at 9:15 pm Pacific on ATT cell phone, did not answer, no message.  If it's the BECU scam what is weird is I got that call yesterday on my LAND LINE.  This must have something to do with one of the data breaches of health insurers- scammers got ahold of those numbers.

Similar experience. Got a call from last 7 digits (so it looked weird) at 11:45 pm PDT on an AT&T cell. Let it go to voice mail where the only thing it picked up was "press 1 to be connected to our security department."  As if.

Just got this call 10 minutes ago. No area code, just 1 6949725 an automated message saying my card was frozen, press 1 to reactivate

Got a call as well. Located north of Seattle. No area code, and same message as everyone else. Damn scammers....

Same call.  I live in NYC. Called twice and I hung up both times, 12:48 am and 12:50am.

Just got the same call at 8:05 PST - located in San Francisco, Verizon carrier. No area code, just the 7 digits.

Just got this call as well.  Live in WA state, no area code came up, I rejected the number.  Voice mail caught the tail end of the security message.  Number getting blocked now.

Same here. I live in Texas ,  same # no area code! Also Verizon carrier.

I got 2 of these earlier this week on my cell.  Didn't answer & no messages were left. Since I have 3 BECU accounts, I called them & was told they had gotten a number of inquiries about the scam, that BECU has not been hacked (let's hope that's true), and that no accounts are in jeopardy.  At least, assuming you DON'T give the scumbags your info!

I just got it too. They claimed "BECU". I never answer calls from people that aren't in my contacts. I figure if it's important they will leave a message. The reason I answered this was out of curiosity because my caller ID didn't show the area code. Now I remember why I don't answer.

Received repeated calls from 2536949725 but only get the tail end of the message where it says "press 1 to be transferred to our fraud department." Will answer it next time to see what purported bank they claim to be from. I've had calls from BECU before for instances of genuine fraud and it's always a real person, not a recording.

You must have received your call at the same time I did. I also didn't see an area code on my call. (just showed 6949725, but once it showed a missed call on my phone, it included the area code.)

Got a call with no area code, message left appeared to be cut off "account is blocked, press 1 to be reactivated through our security department." I didn't call back but checked all my accounts and everything is fine. I live in Seattle so got a little scared when my voicemail had 425 area code (figured it was legit.)

Oops, I mean 253, not 425. We have so many area codes here... still recognized it as local!

Got a call today from the same number, left no message then a few minutes later my wife gets a call from them too and didn't leave a message. Really suspicious!

My wife just got the same call described in this thread.  She's got a Verizon Cell phone.  The number only showed as 694-9725.  This kind of thing is obviously a scam to many people, but unfortunately a lot of other people don't have the same radar and will fall into the trap.  I with there was some robust tracking and arresting of these folks.
