- MoniGot a call from this number today. A gentleman with a thick accent telling me my computer was sending him error messages. I played along and then asked why a company as big as Microsoft needed to outsource troubleshooting. I asked about conflicts in corporate verbiage on the webpage and how long they have had the outsourced contract with Microsoft...he hung up.
- Caller: microsoft tech support
- Hemsedale replies to DemoSimilar experience, with a strong Indian accent.
I asked if he was calling from India and he immediately started cursing me. - seanI got a call from these clowns yesterday evening. His opening line was something along the lines of "I am calling from Windows Computer Security" or something. Extremely thick Indian or Middle Eastern accent. Having an idea that this was a scam, I asked "excuse me, but are you speaking English?" His response was "f--- you!". So, I politely invited him to do the same to himself and hung up. Phone IMMEDIATELY rang again with the same clown calling. I answered by saying "HEY!! WHAT'S UP HABIB?!?", and suggested that he go procreate with a farm animal (a goat, to be exact). Then I simply opened my phone settings and blocked the number. It was fun while it lasted.
- Caller: Windows Security Company??
- melissacontinually receiving calls from this number wanting access to my computer to "help" me fix the issues.
- J CNew twist on this scam. Caller said he was calling about items for sale, from internet ad. Told him no, I did not run an ad, got upset and asked why I placed ad. I said I had no idea, he wanted me to remove immediately. I said I never placed an ad, he want.ed me to go to a website where ad supposedly was and remove it while he was still on phone. I was driving, so I just shut up to see what would happen, he said I would get many more calls unless I removed ad. Could hear call center background noise. He finally hung up. So now they are trying to get you to got to their site to gain remote access in this manner?
- MSGot the call from Cleveland, TX. You all know the drill. Problem with computer, viruses, on and on. I asked him which one was he referring to because I don't own a computer anymore. He sure you do because we're receiving error messages. I said that was odd because my second cousin in Bismarck ND was having computer problems and they must have me confused with him. He was so sure it was my desktop. I asked him to stay on the line just a bit longer because I have been recording and have evidence of wire fraud...hang up.
I know these guys are a joke. Sadly they hook a few hundred people each day, elderly, uninformed, etc. but I just like screwing with them. Otherwise they're harmless and a waste of time if you pick up the phone.- Caller: Microsoft Tech Support
- LesleeGot a call from 281-593-3503….Texas, claiming I had a severe problem with my computer. He said his name was John and "listen to me carefully…" This has happened four days in a row…I played along one day until they realized I had a Mac then they said "oh it must be your husbands computer then"….when I said we all have Macs they hung up.
Doesn't seem to deter them, they keep calling back!!!
Also, when you call them back you get "You have reached a number that has been disconnected or is no longer in service"…Really??????? - Judy replies to Kay DeeThey have called me 3 times, and I tell them I have to call them back and they keep calling me even though they are not getting the response they are hoping for. Caller ID shows Cleveland Texas. I think I will try to fill a complaint with a Texas resource and see if that will stop them.
- Jefe replies to RodI have had calls from these SOBs claiming they are from "Windows Support" THey are trying to get inside your machine and rip you off. I wish I could find them and strangle them
- Lesliesame experience as above. Indian accented gentlemen asked to access my pc to fix files. Gave him a nice grandmother lecture about getting a real job.
- KayThis is the second time we have had this scammer call pretending to represents Microsoft. Anybody with any common sense knows this is a scam.
Well we played along with this low life scammer. Pretending to follow Patrick's instructions so he could fix the errors in our computer. After a few minutes, we soon tired of his scam, and asked for a number to call him back at. Patrick said it was 321-549-5483, I'm sure the number is just a bunch of Obamaolney. This call was recorded to educate others as to what an actual scum bag scammer's actual pitch sounds like. Great job Patrick.- Caller: Computor Wars

- Marty duh MarineI actually answered when I saw this number on the caller ID.
Me: "Hello?"
Other end: A long pause, then an automated-sounding "Goodbye."
OK then. - Old MarineI keep getting calls from them, but no-one there when I answer. Driving me nuts.
BTW: I suspect the least effective statutes on the USA's law books are those pertaining to the Do-Not-Call lists. - JamesContinue to receive these calls, first a male voice, now a female the last three times. Asked to be removed from the call list each time, politely. Finally told her I was a Computer Security Expert and we are tracing her phone number, after a short pause I hung up. Maybe that will slow them down. :)
- Call type: Telemarketer
- AngelicaI've had similar problems. I asked who gave them permission to monitor my computer and they hung up. I will tell them next time to put me on the do not call list.

Wow did not expect that and asked again to be removed with the same response and added No I will not remove you from the list.

- LindaJust got a call from "George" at 2815933503. George had a very heavy Indian accent. He told me that my computer was going to crash because it had been infected by a very serious virus. He said that his company "Electronic World Support" had been receiving errors reports about my computer and that's how he knew to call me! I played along until he wanted me to key access codes into his website so he could "fix" my computer problems. I hung-up and called the 800# on the site. Andrea Lee answered. I asked her how all this worked. She just passed me off to Peter the big boss. Peter told me I was computer illiterate and I didn't know anything about computers especially mine. I told him I was calling the State Attorney General Office and he told me to go ahead and laughed. The funny thing companies like this one stay one step ahead because you can't get through the bureaucratic phone messages to actually report the SCAM.
- Caller: Electronic World Support.
