I would have been happy to pick up the wedding dress and pay (cash) as a person but time hasn’t permit us because we booked next day flight down to Rhode Island. And as a single parent I do not have a helping hand. because of the contract awarded to me which has made us relocate down to Rhode island. My daughter has however made arrangements with a carrier who would come for the pickup of the wedding dress over at any location of yours after payments have been duly made.  I would had love you to send the dress via a courier service but my daughter insisted and gave  instruction that she wanted her carrier (Ms. Yvette Ann Sims) to come for the pickup.  So that shipment and handling can be taking care of very carefully with dry cleaning.

To get this clear to you, Payment of the wedding dress will be made out to you before Ms Yvette Ann Sims come over to pick up the wedding dress. I'm very new to buying stuff on here and I hope you can be trusted to make available the dress after payment has been made out to you. My daughter works with United State Postal Services and we will be glad to pay with a United state certified Postal Money Order. I'll appreciate it if you consider it sold to us via this means.

After payment clear your bank. Ms Yvette Ann Sims will  show up at your location in picking up the dress. Excess funds for the shipment and handling will be included on the payment and sent to picker for her services. I'll email her contact to you as soon as you received the payment via FedEx/UPS. I was trying to sell my wedding dress as well and recieved the same response from this so called "Bill Fernandez". I was very excited because I need the extra cash but after the second e-mail in which he "had to take a next day flight to Rhode Island", I suspected something was up! I decided to google his name and what do you know, the third listing that came up was "Bill Fernandez Scam"!! I'm so thankful to these posts, otherwise I could have made a big mistake! I hope that other people google him before attempting a transaction with him! What a low life, I just don't understand people sometimes!!

I got that same email that everyone else has gotten. He was going by the name Bill Fernadez(mrbillfernaz002@gmail.com/ 401-390-3707) But I didnt google his name until he already had my name and address. I am hopeing, he was just trying to get money out of me and nothing else. Once I seen this page. I freaked out and called my husband and the cops. Has anyone else give him their information, and has anything happened other then money issues. Please let me no, I am very concerned.

I received emails from Rio Fernando and Lizzy Jacob with the same information posted here. I had a feeling it was a scam, and once they sent a phone number I did a search for it on Google. I found all your posts. Thank you!!

The phone number they are now using is 401-390-3707.

I got the same type of message about a wedding dress I was selling on craigslist from a guy who now calls himself Gordon Maxwell with an email address of gordonmaxwell50@aol.com and look out for his "shipping agent payment department" Penny Atterton pennyatteron37397@hotmail.com.  after receiving a tracking number from Gordon, I followed it on UPS. It was intercepeted and re-routed to another address on the day it was supposed to arrive. I let Gordon know I didn't receive the check and it was re-routed to another address. I advised him since I did not receive the money I was relisting the dress. I did not hear anything back from him but the fake cashier's check from Citizens Bank came 6 days later than he claimed it would and was for $1,200 over the selling price of the actual dress. I had been very suspicious and googled - cost courier service pick up wedding dress - to see if I could find out how much a courier service would actually cost to pick up a wedding dress and found this website. Thank you all for sharing your stories as well. What a life saver it has been! Also, thinking why on earth would someone pay more for a courier than the actual dress costs. Besides, someone could have bought the dress brand new right from a bridal shop for less than this person was paying for the dress and the courier. What a scam. Seller Beware! Sell only to locals on craigslist.

I posted a piano on CL for sale last night.  I just got three emails within 5 minutes from "Bratt Smith", all identical, except each return email address is different.

Well  it looks like he, Bratt Smith, is at it again.  After getting an email from him about our piano for sale, something didn't seem right. So I did a google search and came across this link.  I will not spend any more of my time with this loser, thanks to you all posting.

I had got the very same email that most of the people on this post received from Bill Fernandez about a wedding dress I posted on Craigslist too for a $100.  I sent a response to his initial inquiry email and when I got his response with the long drawn out/ outlandish email about being out of town, traveling to "Rhode Island" and trying to have me go down in price along with all these complicated steps in doing a simple transaction/purchase of a wedding dress I knew it was a scam and I never responded back.  

Oh please, he comes off sounding that he's a ohhh so important money bags and blah, blah, blah, if that's the case why doesn't he just go all out and buy from a wedding boutique or give the money to his daughter to spend??  What man buys a wedding dress for their daughter, fiancee, etc... without the bride actually seeing it and trying it on as that's pretty much a brides #1 priority is to actually seeing and trying on the dress.    Needless to say I reported that scum to Craigslist.

Bratt Smith is still at it.  I got the identical email today in response to a piano I had for sale.  My first gut feeling was "this doesn't feel right".  Glad I thought to google the name.  Thanks to everyone here I can see what the scam is.

Bratt Smith is trying to get me too!     This is a scam!

I just got the same message on the wedding dress I'm selling I also got a different message last week from a different name saying he was a precher. It's a scam and needs to be stopped.

Today has been the absolute worst day of my life.  I just lost everything I own today because of an email I received in regards to a similar transaction.  Can anybody please help me in finding out who this is?
