Got call from 301-392-8196.
Had called minutes earlier, 888-349-0029...NetZero.com to see if they would be a good IP at $9.95/month, no credit card needed etc.  BUT would have to make year commitment to get that rate and would get first month free.  I told them I wasn't interested in the 12 month contract and hung up.

Then the call from the 301-392-8196.  The male said I had called a rep and didn't want to sign up because of the 1 year thing.  He offered me 2 months free and no contract.  Told him not interested.

I used cell phone to call and he called me back 4 times at my cell phone# before I answered.

Don't think I'll be doing business of any kind with this group.

I also received a miscall from this number. I think its quite alarming.

I received a call from this number very late last night.  I do not appreciate being woken up for some hang up or scam.

Calling from Ontario - was caling for Telus

Possibly just an outsourced outbound call center (sales)

Got a call and they marked it urgent, but did not leave a message.  Then, they texted me to call them back.  I am glad I checked this out...thanks for the heads up.

The following number 301-392-8196 called me 17 times from the hours of 8:49am to 11:01am April 6,09. all calls went to voice mail with no message.  A return call "number disconnected"

Received a call from 1-301-392-8196 (as picked up by my caller ID) last evening. A lady was on the other side but voice was breaking up and the call was disjointed and though she repeated several times, I could only make out something about some Demand Draft received (?). Being curious, I looked up the no. on the net only to discover I was not the only one to have received such odd-ball calls !

they called my cell pretending to be Juno.com and tried to call back and would not go through. this number is a guy scaming people out of their money i knw because am a victim of this.

they just called me and asked if I called them earlier they said they where from netzero and wanted me to sign up with them..

a woman called me yesterday from this number claiming to be from cox communications, and told me i needed to answer some questions so they could run some diagnostic checks on my services. she said the diagnostic check would fix the problems with my service. i had called cox the day before to deal with something totally unrelated. obviously, they knew i had called cox to ask about something, somehow got my name (which she knew, scary) and cell number and tried to scam me.

i didn't trust her, so when i wouldn't answer the questions she asked if she should call back. so she just did today and my fiance answered, told her we knew it was a scam, she said quietly "oh, s***" and hung up on him.

definitely a scam!!!!

Called at 10:17 PM Sat. nt. Shows up as Sutherland. Called after 9:00 Friday nt. twice. Did't answer them. The phone rang for a few minutes. Woke me up I go to work early.

This must be a call from a call center that handles multiple companies. They called and I didn't take the 1st call. They then called back almost immediately and I did take the call.
I had called A T & T Uverse yesterday because my system was not working properly. They walked me thru a solution. Today, the same person called me back, from this number, to inquire whether the problem had reoccured or whether it was still working properly. The caller ID said Sutherland.
At least in my case, it wasn't a slicitation but rather a follow up and legit.

Just received a miscall, was enquiring as to who this was...probably microsoft from what I gather, I just completed a survey a day ago.

I just received a call from this number and the caller did leave a message.

The call was from AT&T tech support for U-Verse. I had a system outage in my area and contacted them this morning. The message was to let me know service had been restored.

Sounds like a call center for multiple companies.
