Phone calls from 303-000-0000 just started on my home phone last night, which is an unlisted number. I tried dialing the number back and it was not a working number.

I don't think it's a investigator. I have gotten those calls lately too in Denver, and I am not disabled. When I call the number back it says that "the phone company is having problems right now, try back later" Maybe it's someone from a Prison? My cell was also called, and only my friends have that number, weird.I don't pick up any calls I do not know, just ignore and let them go on your voicemail or machine at home like I do. The Political calls and the donation calls are getting out of hand too. Cannot watch a movie or eat dinner without one of those calls. And I have told ARC several times to only call me once a yr. not every month. There is no law against them calling us, I checked on it, but there should be a law on how many times they call us. And them calling at 9pm, is too late.
Maybe we should block that 303-000-0000 number and/or report it,but to who?

You know that reminds me. I advertise on Google and did in the paper, and someone called me once (a women) saying I owed money to the Denver Post for my online Ad. I told her I do not owe any money since I paid upfront when I placed the ad. I sent The Denver Post an E-mail and they told me it is a scam, so beware!

So it looks like this is nationwide., 303 is here in Denver. I will just let it ring and forget about it and delete it, maybe it will stop  if not I will call the Attorney General in Denver and the phone co.

From a neighborhood, in Denver? I know that some kids can call a number from a fake # and change their voice, all over the I-phone or cell phone. Could be kids just playing around since they know how to hack into things nowadays, or it could be someone from a prison?

Teeh.uhh-I live in Denver where the 303 # comes from, My cell and home #'s have been called. Just started a couple of weeks ago, and it is Aug.14, 2010 now. I think it's teenagers who have nothing better to do with their time, they can live anywhere and use any number, make it look like they are calling from a certain State like Colorado, when actually they are not, they also can change their voices, all by hacking or calling a number on the Internet to do this. They can do this about 5 times from one cell then they have to pay to do it, or use a different cell phone, they can also hide the true number they are calling from. I saw some teenagers once in TX do this, I couldn't believe it. Just don't pick up, forget about it, it should stop after awhile- I hope!
Or it could be a Scam, who knows. Don't give them the power by answering your phone. We have enough stress in our lifes and not enough time to mess with this.

I didn't get a call from 0000; it came from 303 000-2472. I didn't answer, so they left a message. It was from the tech support desk at the very large multinational corporation that I work for. I had submitted a problem report a couple days ago and they were responding to it. The guy who left the message sounded like he was Indian. I don't know how they got my cell phone number, or why they didn't call my office phone.

Is your large multinational company called 'IBM'?  I had the same thing, call from 303-000-2488.  Well it was the help desk in India calling about a ticket I had opened.  I think the number is routed through Colorado, or else it is some sort of converted number.  Anyway, the mystery was solved for me.

Suspect these are marketing ploys whereby a list of viable numbers is being compiled.  Your picking up signifies that your cell phone is living.

It was IBM returning a call for me. I was doing an RMA for a Lenovo product.

Also got a call from this number.  Seems like a spammer trying to mask their number.  I'm getting a Google Voice number to give to online vendors and others.

The call was from IBM confirming a service call I had placed. Not sure why they feel the need to mask CID.

Called today at 2:36 pm CST.  They asked for me by name.  My number is an non-published land line.  She said she was conducting a "political survey."  I told her not to remove my number and promptly hung up.
