rec'd call from 304-400-6117,Charleston WV   said I had a court date and to  call this number.  I have saved the call.  I'm in TX   and and no way do I have anything to do with a court in WV or anyplace else for that matter

Got this same message this morning, i was devastated when i first heard this as i don't know what it is. i can barely make it on the money that i made, which is care given to older people also i can't afford anything. i know i owe some on some loans that i had to make in order to survive and take care of my 12year son.. now this? what can i do..

does anyone know what company this belongs too? they left a disturbing message, saying its a civil investigations unit, informing me about a compaliant filed against me, or i was named in a court action, that i have to inform my attorney etc. that i have 24-48 hrs to oppose the issue. they even gave an affidavit number. that i have to appear in court?!?
if this is a scam i would like to report them to a government agency.

Received a call stating that there was a restraining order placed against my mother who has been deceased for 7 years. Clearly a scam. Disgusting that people can do these things.

Just received this call and they even told me I had a restraining order and was to appear in court. They said it was over a check into cash loan 13 years ago. REALLY!!!! They are now harassing my husbands cell phone

Just called them after receiving a message I had a restraining order, cause and case number to appear in court on a PayDay loan 12 YEARS OLD, REALLY!!!!! When I told them I had my Att. present and needed their business I.D number and location, a Derrick, who answered as a investigator told me to speak to his supervisor, next, WAS HUNG UP ON. I called back AGAIN, AGAIN, and AGAIN the same thing HUNG UP ON! Finally they asked ME to quit harassing them HAHAHA. I will report them. People Please just ask a few questions like, their business ID and such, see what happens. Until then, I WILL CALL THEM everyday so they see what it feels like.

Report them to BBB. Call them back, ask for their business ID and location for your attourney, I did and they hung up on me. GOOD LUCK, it is a scam cause I called them several times finally they asked to quit harassing them. also if they ask for your attourney tell them its the Att. General they hang up fast!!!!

They called my ex-husband--we have been divorced for 23 years!  Said they were filing a civil action and restraining order against me.  Ex-husband called me to let me know.  I called the number (Answered American Document Services) & pressed 2 & got a busy signal.  I checked them out online & I'll be filing a complaint.

This is a total scam! They CANNOT threaten you or anyone over the phone with a so called court action, its against the Law!!!! Do no give them any information about yourself, only tell them that they are committing a crime.

i got 304-400-6117 I got his MR HUGHES and I asked him WHY are they calling me...he said whats your case number...i said I DON"T HAVE A Case document number. He asked for MY NUMBER...like..that was stupid I gave it to him..he said..your name is misty flores? (i've had this several times over the years and several lately. I told HIM I AM NOT HER..take my number OFF your documents and get your act together...DO NOT CALL ME AGAIN...he said your being quiet rude and that there are other ways of asking nicely. I said I've asked you before..so TAKE my PRIVATE number off your lists NOW. THEN I asked for his supervisor..he said there are no supervisors here. and he HUNG UP ON ME!!!!!!! I have the recorded message on my cell phone..Misty Flores..with document numbers about a mile long and ANOTHER number to call back on..I called this last number..got mr HUGHES a second time...he told me my number was taken off the list. I want this stopped and now they have my number...grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr Where do i report this and to whom do I report this? Thanks Kristi

Same thing happened to us. Scared the heck out of my wife.  Does anyone know who we should contact to have a investigation started?

No but if you find out where to do it let me know. I get about 15 calls from them a day on both my cell and house phone! Its driving me crazy!

Just got this same call.  Called back and they claim I owe HSBC money on a loan/line of credit/credit card from 2009.  WHAT!  I have never dealt with that bank.  It was fishy when they could not tell me what type of debt it was.  JERKS!

I received this obviously bogus extortion attempt this morning via a recorded message on our home phone.  It was so clearly an attempted scam that I am bewildered and FURIOUS that such scum is allowed to apparently get away with such a malicious invasion of my privacy.  I am going to contact law enforcement to see what can be done.  Please do the same if these scoundrels have contacted you.
