These guys are still at it apparently.  I got a new cell phone with a new number, and I guess these telemarketers came with the number.  The process to remove your number from their call list doesn't work, as I did that 5 days ago and they're still calling.  My phone is now registered with the do not call registry, we'll see how that works.
It's funny, I might have wanted whatever product they're selling, but as soon as they invaded my private life, without my permission, I don't want their product any more.  Are you listening tele-salesmen?  You're loosing the sale as soon as my phone rings... leave me alone!

They call my number EVERY day at least two times if not three.  Sick of it!!!

Even if you answer the phone, It will NOT help. It's a ROBO call and even though it indicate you can take your number off the list, In reality you CANNOT.

Go to " donotcall.gov" and file a complain.

3 times they have been calling me. I answered they hung up 3/27/2012 at 9:26am.

In Austin,TX this number claims to be the Austin American-Statesman; the area code is St. Louis.  

I actually answered today and told them not to call back, to cease and desist or I will be calling the Attorney General's office then I hung up; I did not do that the one other time I answered a call from this number.   They are fishing for some information; I do not give any information out over the phone.  I do not respond to surveys even if they are legitimate.  

I did just get off the phone with the local paper.  They did not call me; customer service knew nothing about that number.   I advised them that this number was representing them in a bad light; I also told the customer service rep that I told the caller from 314---that I was going to contact the Attorney General should anyone else call me from that number or any number representing the Statesman.  

Below is the response I received from the Texas PUC regarding another annoying call.   I removed my name, corrected the typo (ect to etc) and reformatted it to better fit this space.

I started getting these calls today and live in the LA area.  I answer, and no one is there - but I hear clicking, so hang up!  Glad to see I'm not alone . . .

Been having the same issue with this # calling me. I even answered one time and told the woman several times I was not interested. She finally hung up on me like I was the one being rude! lol

If you call the # back, you can step through their automated prompt and select to be removed from all call lists within 48 hours. Hopefully it works!

As soon as I got my iPhone, I get repeated calls from this number. They called me 6 times in one day right after another. This has to stop!

Received the call today after cancelling San Jose mercury newspaper subscription.  Called back and press 3 and several times 1 to confirm the removal.  Hope I will not get the call again.

Just received the call from this number saying they were the Local Paper "The Oklahoman" since I am a subscriber they asked me to renew.  I was ready to, except they wanted a instant check or a credit card number.  I asked if they could bill me, they said no, it has to be right now... so I said we are done talking and hung up.

This number keeps calling me, I answer and then they just hang up.  I dont understand, if they are trying to sell something why would they just hang up?

If you have a jailbroken iphone, just download Call blocker from cydia. Never see their calls again.

They are trying to sell San Jose Mercury News subscription. Sometimes it is a blank call, nobody speaks but yet call several times a day.
I have told them not to call, I have tried to do the automated removal of my number from their database, I have registered my number with the Do Not call Government Registry, I have filed a complaint.......but nothing works and clearly nobody cares if they call you till your dying day. Good luck.
