My husband got a call from this number Friday. They told him they are from a collection agency. He has some doctor bills for his son that have not been taken care of, but he has been in contact with the collection agency that is here where we live. Last we knew, they still had the bill. When he got the call from the 315 number, they told him if he didn't pay the full amount by yesterday they would take legal action. He told them to call him back Monday after 2:30 and he never got a call. So he called them back and he got the voice mail. I don't know what to do! I'm going to call the local collection agency and see if they still have the bill. By the way, the reason the doctor bill is in collection is because my husbands insurance isn't wanting to pay. I don't want everyone that reads this to think we don't pay our bills. Its just a really long story!

I got they call me 5 times on cell. How can I stop them don't call me again. ANyone help me.  Thanks

that number KEEPS calling me, and then when i go to answer. nothing..

They called me on Sunday March 2 and I answered and being regretible stupid answered some of their "college information" crap- what my intended major is, what kind of school I was looking at, and told me they would give my information to colleges that matched my interests and of course I verified my phone number, home address, and e-mail address. I talked to them for 2 min. 3 sec, at 3:01 pm. Ever since then, I have reseived numerous calls from other scammed phone numbers that when I call back, no one answers: 423-733-8902 (TN),801-642-0237 ,423-733-8551 (TN), 866-406-5183, 616-980-2288, 423-733-8617, 210-240-0540. I repeat, I was extremely vulnerable and neive, and undoubtedly stupid to give them this information. I am highly considering changing my number, because this harrassment has got to stop!

i want one of these homos to call me back..im gonna have some fun...hehe :evil grin:

where do you guys live because i hope this isn't a thing thats happening to just one area...im freaking out.

I've already posted 2 comments on here on the 2nd page. Just to let you know, when I answered the call I told the person the girl she was looking for is not here and that you keep calling me and you should be leaving a voice mail or something because I have been calling you back and I don't know who you are. The  lady said something about University Finders but I have no idea what that is. Just tell them they got the wrong number cause that lady actually apologized and hasn't called me so far.

If you are looking at colleges...I think it's best to try talking to your school about safe sites and/or phone numbers you can contact. I read College Chick's message and thought of leaving this message in case other college students do the same thing. I am as well in college, but I only give out my information to collegeboard.com and fastweb.com Those two websites have been suggested the school I went to for searching for colleges and/or scholarships for college. If you do want to do a college search I advise talking to your guidance councilor or somebody from school. You can try to get the colleges direct numbers as well and call them directly to talk to them. K, thanks.

I just got a call from this number at 12:15pm and didn't pick up in time.  After reading all this I'm glad I didn't.  I looked it up on white pages and found the same thing.  A land-line verizon number from Oswego, NY.  I'm not sure how much we all have in common but I also have verizon (cell) and am in college in Ft. Myers, FL.

to add to my previous post, i'm in the twin cities, in minnesota, so it's not just one area. i had my boyfriend answer, and after bantering with the guy, he told the caller to take me off the list. 45 minutes later they called back. i haven't gotten any calls today, so that's good...maybe it worked.

who are these people

This number has been calling my girlfriend for a couple months. She never answers because she doesnt know the number. One time they called i got her to answer and this very low voiced man asked for her. She said she wasnt there and asked to take a message. They hung up. They called again a few days later. This time i answered and said i was her. The man started talking about university finder and about a survey to fill out so that they could send "free college info." I told him i was already at a college and quite content with it. He persisted and after a few attempts to tell him no it finally sunk in. I then asked him to do me one favor, and he responded "take you off the list" halfway through my response of yes he hung up. 30 mins later they called her back again...

I contacted verizon and informed them that this number has been harrassing alot of people with repeated calls.  Not sure if it will help but it was at least worth a try.

This number has called me 3 times today 1 at 9 , 12 ,& 3 its already getting on my nerves. I called back an it said i reached customer service so i just hung up!

I have received 2 calls from this number in the last day without a voicemail.  I'm actually relieved to hear that I'm not the only one!

i get calls from this number a few times a day as well and it just rings once and then hangs up.  i too believe it is related to spam or something.  i also get calls from 866-640-5585 and the same thing is happening.

I never answer this call they call here I bet 6 times a day we just don't answer when I have called it it's just a recording that say please leave your name and phone number and someone will get back to you.

I have also been receiving calls from this number.  They leave no message, and call several times a day.  I will not answer until they leave a message and I know what they are calling about.

I have been getting calls from this number the last two days... I have received five calls over all. It's incredibly annoying and nobody was there the time I answered, so I don't know what to do? I sure hope they stop.
