This has to be a scam! I answered several times and they just hang up. When I call back they ask personal info right away. DO NOT GIVE OUT INFO TO THIS NUMBER!!! If they  really wanted to contact us, they would call us, not have a machine do it for them. Also, I tried entering a "dummy" number in and all it says is that I have to enter it faster, it doesn't get me to an operator like a legit company would do... Any info or comments? I called Paypal and GE (the real numbers on their website), they do not have this number listed as one of their numbers.  Plus I don't even have a Paypal or GE account (I also double check with Paypal and GE while they were on the phone).  Anyway, this number will call me 4-8 times a day so I have it blacklisted on my iPhone.

Please don't give any info out to them, they're 100% scammers.

get an automated phone caller to call them back and wait till an rep picks up then says some messege hang up and call again..

I called up Paypal and gave them this phone number, telling them what happened and the employee told me that this number does not belong to paypal. Just remember, never give out any personal information to anyone for any reason unless you have proper verification!!! You can always call the business later on at your leisure if you want to change or alter something on an account. If you see or notice any suspicious activity linked to your paypal account (or any other account), confront the business about it imediately! Good luck out there.

They Call Me 4to5 Time A Day

I believe this number is a collection agency used by GE Money bank.  It is based in India and they route the calls through a Canton, Ohio number.  GE Money bank turns your account over to the agency even  if you are only 1 day late. The collection agency is unfortunately not up to date whether or not you are late or on time with your payment, however, they do get paid if they get money from you.  So, if you were ever late on your paypal Buyer Credit payment, they have your number and will harass you indefinitely.  These guys in India earn about ten bucks a day and their voip service gives almost unlimited free calling, so they can still make money if the call everyone on their list enough times and get money from just a few.

Also, I might add that for those who make their payments  online, GE is very sneaky.  Some time ago they decided to stop sending paper statements, so the only way you know when your bill is due is to log on to the account.  Then, to make matters worse, GE will not process a payment unless it is set three business days before your due date - in actuality this usually means five or more real days.  It is all a foul tactic to add late fees and interest increases to your account - like someone said earlier in the post, corporate trash.  Better to just pay off your GE Account and drop it like I did.  Then, when you get called from the credit agency, you are free to curse them out, press charges, or whatever you want.

They call til 10 at night.  One day alone they called 31 times.

he's the CEO of that crappy GE Money Bank -from now on, for every call they make to me, he is getting one of his own. let's do what they do - just keep hanging up every time his home machine picks up. we should let him know how invasive and violating of the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act this is. and it's legal for us to return calls - he needs to be responsible for his rude employees and illegal tactics.

It's GE Money calling on behalf of PayPal.  I have proof of payment yet the calls won't stop.  If I ever pay this card off I will tell them off.

I believe this to be a scam posing as a collection service. Therefore, all requests to not call are ignored as are the other collection regulations.

Actually, paypal reps have been nothing but coureous to me.  I get the calls as well, but they are never rude.  Perhaps you are the one being rude first?  I'm in no way related to paypal, and normally wouldn't stick up for a collector, but I have spoken with them several times (I'm late with bills too), and have never experienced what all of you are complaining about.

they call 4 or 5 times a day and leave no message.  they do not identify how is calling.  the act like they do not want to identify their self so you will answer.  the thing is i will not call anyone back if they do not leave a message to that tels me why they are calling in the first place.

Called twice (so far) on August 28th. 1) tried to leave voice mail, actually caller thought my voice mail box message was me; 2) called and left no message

It is definitely paypal, it is just an automated calling service, if you call it back you have the option to tell them when you are going to make a payment and they will leave you alone until after the payment is due

Just received a call from this number.  It's 8:30AM on a Saturday.  A woman asked if it was me, I said yes and she promptly hung up.

GE has a strange way of operating.  I only have a $100 credit limit with them, but now I'm mysteriously over at $101.  I scheduled a payment a few days ago and don't quite understand why they didn't call me sooner if I went over.

Same thing here 5 calls a day they won't say there name  piss poor customer relations if you ask me

if they are a billing agent, and the acct is paid why do they keep calling??  it is bordering on harassment, if not already there. who all is out there to keep these guys in check??

Set your cel phone to NO RINGTONE, thier calls will go to voicemail.
