This is a scam. They want you to give up information so they can file a tax return before you do and/or if you sound like a fool to send money to them....

I got a call at 10 am
Called back twice
First just rang, second time, some Indian guy answered telling me I owed my IRS since 2008, I've been retired since 1996, so I don't pay taxes
After I told him that, he said don't answer back these calls, it was a mistake from our company of the IRS

Surely there must be a way to shut these crooks down.   Area code is Houston cell. Someone is paying for telephone service.

I got the same call, I do NOT owe the IRS I called it back and it just rings!! they have called 3 times today alone!

I got the same message, saying there was a lawsuit against me!!!

Got the robot call from this number. It doesn't even say a name (although there was an audible pause like it was searching for a name) and ends up saying "you" instead of a name, like it knows who answered the phone or something (because that's a not a tip-off, right?). Told me the IRS had filed final notice and I better call this number ASAP. Because the govt agency that laughs in the face of the Paperwork Reduction Act wouldn't send something in writing? Likely several times? Pffffffft.

Called me twice from the same number ending 9921 and another ending 9917 claiming that the IRS is filing a lawsuit against "you". Another fraud and scam and just around tax time. How convenient! Stay vigilant and inquire people!

Keeps calling leaving strange message about logging this call for the account.  I have blocked them but they are still able to leave a message

Called this morning at 6:45 a.m. and again 2 hours later with the same IRS message others have mentioned. Wish I knew how to report them for calling too early in the morning as well as being a scam.

I got their message today early in the morning saying that the irs is filling a case against me... I was scared to death but when I called them back the phone kept on ringing and ringing and I was like this is so weird so I hang up and googled the number.... I realized it was a scam they better not call again

I have gotten the same call about 5+ times.  Usually it rings and rings but I did get a live person and I asked why the IRS would be calling drom a cell phone in Plano, Texas and then I told them I wanted their name so my husband who does work for the US Government can check on his credentials and he hung up.    I have gotten calls from others too.  From Dept of Treasury, Windows, and others.  I usually mess with them and string them along and then they get so frustrated they hang up.

Today was the 4th time I have received a message from this number. The caller states that the IRS has a lawsuit against me and to call back   for details.  I chose not to return the call. The voice seemed to be a female's voice and she spoke in a monotone and stated that several calls of this type have been sent to me and she expected a response.

I actually got in touch with this number but I knew it was a scam. If you tell them you know they will actually tell you it is. The person stated they are from Pakistan and there is no jobs that is why he was doing it. ITS A SCAM DONT PAY.

I did the same thing. He actually told me he knew it was wrong but there were no jobs in Pakistan.

Scam. Ignore it.
