They said they're from the COLLEGE FINDER. I told them I'm already studying at a university, but they kept asking me for information. Said they'd call back if they've found a college that matches my info, ignoring the fact that I'm a university student who's about to graduate.

3473420340 calls me at least 4 times a day which is infact illegal, i work at a collection agency and u can only call one time a day, Also i have asked them to stop calling and they still don't these People love to harrase others.

I get this call a few times a day, most of the time I am at school when I get them. It's in fact quite annoying. They've left no messages nor have I bothered to answer the call. Is there any way that I can get these people to stop calling me or will it just take time?

It was the first time that number called. They didn't leave a message. I don't know anybody in the area code.

Call at least ten times a day....very annoying

Called 7 times in 3 days. Finally was able to answer. They identified themselves as a University Finder. Explained I had graduate 2 years ago, and did not request, nor need any such service. "Believe" they may have gotten information from CarrerBuilers website, as the calls started after registering.

I keep getting calls from this number too.  Finally I answered and they hung up!  STOP!  It's so frustrating!!!

Just got a call at school

Called 20 minutes after the hour - every hour starting today, 7 Feb. 09 @ 11:20am.
Didn't answer and there was no message.
Pure conjecture on my part; Based upon the complaints I read this appears to be a "probing" call that logs the numbers that answer. The log then can be used (by solicitors) to obtain a higher contact rate and theoretically more sales.  This is just one of many ways "probing" calls can be used.
Best thing to do is keep a log on them by using this site and any other viable, reliable resource.

They called & said they were from College Finder & that i signed up for colege information & for them to call. I siad no i didn't & they hung up.

I've gotten over 18 calls in the last two days and it's driving me crazy. They won't say a word when I answer the phone. If I pick up and not say a word, they just sit there. And once I say hello, they hang up. The phone carrier is Global Crossings Local Services INC. The location shows as New York, NY and Brooklyn.
I will track these people down one way or another.

These people have called many times and have just hung up, finally I left the company they are with a abuse email, I believe that if they get enough of them, maybe they can do something about this. Their email is abuse@gblx.net

I was called twice. They asked for a friend of mine named Crystal. They knew her last name. I told them both times that no one of that name lived here, that it was a wrong number. They asked me if I was sure. The only thing I can think of is the night before I filled out a form for free coffee samples on the internet for my friend. I used her name and my phone number since hers is unlisted. I did not finish the offer. I never filled out a college form, and neither did she. When I asked the second time who was calling, they said "University Finder." When I asked what that was, they hung up.

call once or twice a day, white paged the number on whitepages.com. traced call somewhere in NYC. a number with no Published company, provided by Global Crossing Local Services Inc., it is between Chambers and Warren St.'s and Church st. and Broadway. its somewhere in that block... but i wasnt about to pay money to find out what the exact address. i do not pick up this call and theres not much point in anyone picking it up, its obviously a scam, dont give a name, a phone number, or anything to these people. i dont know as the police can really do much, though they are harassing more and more people. filing a report cant hurt. maybe the FBI?

this number is a scam do not answer from this number any more. they get your personal information if u stay on the phone with them long enough

I just wrote this number under yahoo search because this people don't stop calling, and I found I am not alone in this.I receive calls even on weekends at 7am in the morning. They don't stop, 7 times a day. I've never answered..just called back and says Thanks for callin CS.

I filled out a survey online that asked for my number.Shortly after I this number calls me. They called me several times, even after I told them that they had the wrong number. When they called again, I answered and no one responded. They continue to call and I just ignore the calls. Hopefully they will stop calling.
