ok i just started getting calls from this number. They don't say anything to me. And i looked up the area code it is new york and parts of new jersey. I left the room and they called my brother answered and they new my name. I didn't fill any thing out. Nothing i can remember. Its getting irritating..

this is soo annoying!!! They keep calling and hanging up on me! If I don't answer they don't leave a message and when I call back their answering machine says to leave a name and phone number.

I HAVE RECEIVED NUMEROUS CALLS FROM THESE PEOPLE! Will it ever stop? I don't even know where they got my number.

Several calls.One asking for someone who's been dead for over 20 years. We call the number back and get either a residential answering machine or a black woman telling us there must be a crossed line because she gets calls for Sunrocket DID all the time. My gf called and spoke to someone who transferred her to a supervisor who informed her that they got her number from an online request form.
Beware where you leave your information. This is obviously a very high tech harassment scam

this fricken phone number has called me...hmm...lemme see...seven times in less than 12 hours, and they have been calling me for WEEKS now!!! no one answers, i dont hear anything, they just let it ring until i answer and then they hang up!!! its pissing me off!!!!

Has called 3 times today!!! Calls almost every day. Very annoying. No one ever leaves a message. Who are these people??

I have received 8 calls from these people in the past two days, two of which they actually spoke. They called at 7.30 in the morning on a sunday and said they were University Finder, and I hung up after that. Called several times throughout the day not leaving any messages, I went to my cell company to attempt to block the number but its $5 a month, they recommended I prank call back, however I keep getting the machine, they now have atleast 6 messages from me....hope the point gets across that its [***] annoying to be receiving their damn calls.

So far these jerks have called a total of 18 times since 6:43 am.  I answered a couple of times with 'Hello" no response, no response... so I waited, finally it disconnected...  they continue to call all throughout the day and I got annoyed as all get out, so... I turned up the raido and set the receiver by the speaker... after all THEY get charged as soon as someone answers... THEY want to random call and keep me on hold? I think NOT!  I hope they enjoyed the Death Metal I had playing for them... I AM on the do not call list and will be filing a police report for harrassment.

I am on do not call registry, when I call back I am asked to leave my name and number and my call will be returned, no company or name is mentioned.

I am a graveyard worker & I am on the do not call list. I do not appreciate being woke up by telemarketers. called 3 times today alone!!

OK, we've all got about the same complaints here. These idiots have been calling me between 5-10 times a day all week long. Some people's comments above me said the caller was "College Finder." I'm currently in school and will be transferring in order to finish my degree; I've been looking for scholarships and financial aid online. I have NOT, however, given out my cell phone number. I guess it's some sort of telemarketer. But why would they hang up when potential customers answer the phone??

Stop calling

Started getting them yesterday. Glad I'm not the only one but this is clearly harrassment. Did online reverse-lookup and the number is registered to someone in NYC and phone provider is Global Crossing. Someone else on another complaint forum suggested emailing diane.peters@globalcrossing.com. I emailed her and their customer service at iccc@globalcrossing.com.

Global Crossing got back to me and identified the actual phone provider:

 We will contact the subscriber for this phone number and notify them to stop calling your number and cease any illegal activities. Unfortunately so far it does not look like they are actually using our service to place the calls to your number. Since they are not using our service to place the calls, we cannot put a block on your number to stop them from calling you using a different service. It does sound like they are using this number as the call back number as well as the number that shows up when they call you from another service. If you continue to receive harassing phone calls, we do suggest that you contact and file a complaint with the proper authorities so that they can research the issue and pursue any legal actions necessary. We are more than happy to assist them as well.

 I have contacted the owner of the number and requested that they do not call your number again. I'll be keeping my eye on those websites as well.

These folks call at least twice a day.  I figured instead of getting mad, I'll just have some fun.  Tonight when they called, the young lady asked for me, but I told her he (really me) was on the pot.  I told her that it might be a while because we had brisket last night and it plugs him up.  She said she'll call back later and hung up.  When she calls back I'm going to say something like "you know, come to think of it he's still on the crapper..."  Or  might just say hold on and see how long they'll hold before hanging up.  Have FUN with them!

I've been called almost every hour for the past 2 days.  There was some black lady on the other line that asked me what my name was, then she hung up.
