hey just wanted to say ive just got this phone call and wondered if anyone would know who it was

Glad to see I'm not the only one. I live in LA so this is an especially weird area to be getting a call from.

Just got a call from these a**holes. Literally, you pick up the phone and hear a massive fart noise in your ear. Then it tries to sell you a cruise. Tried to call back multiple times but only got one ring, and then it sat there with no noise at all.

got call from this number, no VM, didnt answer, google says from washington....

These morons are losers and, obviously some type of crooks.  They did the same thing they did for all of you, call and hang up with no message.  

I called them back (blocking my number).  And, though they had just called me within an hour ahead of that, their number was supposedly already disconnected.  I got a Verizon Wireless recording that said the number had been disconnected.  

This type of disconnect message had legitimately happened to me in the past when the FCC had taken down a crook who was calling with some automated system claiming to be a bank I used (no, I didn't bank there) and asking me to confirm my SS#, credit card #, etc. to keep my account from being closed.  Idiots!  This type of thing happened to me randomly two or three times within a few months.  Each time they did this on a Friday evening when the credit union (which was an actual credit union) was closed for the weekend.  When I called the credit union to warn them, their answering service said they wouldn't be open again till Monday morning.  What a cruddy scam.   They had the whole weekend to get patsies.  If they got even one or two stupid people to comply with their thievery, they would have bilked those morons pretty good (probably cleaning out their accounts over the weekend with time to spare).  The FCC somehow was quick to shut them down on at least one occasion; but the other times, who knows.  

I want to add that I doubt the veracity of this Verizon Wireless message (the other time it was an FCC official message).  As many of you know, it's possible to sign up for some internet service that gives a fake message when people call you so that they will think the number is no longer valid.

Bottom line, we're all smart for knowing these people are frauds.  Congrats!

Glad I looked this up and saw your comments....was afraid it might be someone I knew but now I know I did the right thing in not answering...it was on my cell.   Thanks everyone!!

I live just outside of Detroit. Why some idiot from Washington state is trying to contact me at ridiculous hours is a mystery. Useless call backs result in busy signals. This constitutes some type of fraud or harassment...at my wits end. Any help out there, short of changing my number?

This number just called my cell phone.  I rarely give out the number to anyone.  I didn't return the call or listen to the voice mail but I looked-it-up here instead.  This annoyance caused me to drop what I was doing and get my phone from my purse in another room - thinking that it was an important call from family.  

Scam calls to cell phones shouldn't be a problem...hope the FCC put a stop to these calls.

For the last 3 wks keep getting calls from this number. wish they would leave me alone

Just started receiving calls from this number in the past couple of days. NO idea who it is, I won't answer, they don't leave a message.

got a call from this number the day i gave my number to a friend who lives near there. weird coincidence as i've never got a call from this before.
didn't answer the call as I didn't recognize it.

I continue to get annoying calls from this number.  They want me to "take a survey" and get a vacation.  Finally I took the survey to --hopefully--talk to a human and request that they stop these calls.  I answered "1" to all questions.  At the end of the "survey" they tell me to go to www.survey.com .    Probably the best thing to do is simply block these calls.

I have been getting calls from this #,Its a scam! Its a boat horn,and then its your capain speaking.So I hang up.I will report them to the authorities in the area and every body else should too.

Keeps calling. I try to call it back then it beeps then just hangs up. This is annoying as hell ,
it calls me like 10 times a day
