Last time I checked grants are free!!! Anytime someone asks you to purchase a greendot& they aren't your family and friends or company or someone you know you owe, It's a SCAM!!!  You won't be able to get that money back either

Hey the U.S.A. government department grants call me and told me that they were gonna give me 8000 dollars and a guy calls me and he says his name is ben mlcsalson and gave me a code, security code and then he gave me another number and den call this number 3607803796 and then this guy answer and told me his name James Brandie and his extension is (257) and then he told me that to go buy a green dot money Pak  at CVs store but I didn't end up going to the store. So I started searching it up and it was fake we should find this person and turn them in.

This is a scam.
They asked me to confirm my name, and zip code. Then asked if I was single and age for confirmation purposes. They then gave me the money code and the security code and told me to call back the 3607803796 number. It was odd because the woman I spoke to said "after I end this call I'll transfer your files to the US treasury dept. and then you call this number to contact my business and give them the money and security codes."(Who already has all my information, because I already deal with them. They always send everything in written confirmation ALWAYS!) What stuck out to me was "MY BUSINESS."
It's a scam, don't be fooled.

My husband received a call informing him that he had won an $8,000 grant from the Federal Reserve Bank.  The caller, with what my husband felt was a middle-Eastern accent, had our address and asked my husband to confirm it.  He gave a "Grant ID number" and a "Grant Security Code", and then asked my husband to call back to accept the grant.  No money was asked for at that time.  The number my husband was told to call was 360-780-3796.  My husband did not call the number, and the man called back to ask why he didn't call.  My husband told the man he thought this was a scam, and the man on the phone tried to assure my husband that it was indeed not a scam.  He further stated that the call was being recorded, as if that would somehow prove its legitimacy.  Then my husband hung up.

They had me for a min til they said i got to give them 200 dollars on a green dot then i knew it was a scan funny [***] people plz dont fall for this [***] 

Received the same call many of times but different Ppl. I felt it was fony cause when I asked how would I get the money he said green dot, I laughed n told him he was a fraud the government would never have Ppl go buy a prepaid card to receive money cause anything dealn wit the government is a paper trail, he start explaining that it wasn't but I'm not a fool by far so I told him I can't purchase a card now n he said call back once I could.

someone named David walker called and told me that i was going to get 8000$ and had me buy 2 green money cards and put 200$ and 500$ on them and i did it.so i lost 700$.

they keep calling and herassing me

Got a call and they don't want to send me any information....they told me that would get $8000 in grant money with no obligation to pay it back. Then I was asked to verify my address zip and age and what I would use the money for. I was also given a security# and security passcode# and was told to call my account rep at the 360-780-3796 number and my funds would be released. I did not and will not be calling the number as I was certain the call was a scam. I just want to know if the government is aware of this activity.

I kept getting phone calls from an "unavailable" number (we're talking 3-5 a day for the last week). I finally answered today, and hear of $8,000 grant money was given to me and I needed to call the 360-780-3796 number immediately and was suppose to tell the "treasury manager" all the ID  numbers the woman gave me. I did not call the number because I found this site. UPDATE: It's been about 10 minutes and the unavailable number called back asking why I hadn't called the number. I told her it was a scam and she tried for 10 minutes to convince me it's not and that I'm "lucky the government likes me." I repeated it back to her and she switched what she said. Very unprofessional! I asked her a bunch of questions like how could she sleep at night knowing she's helping take money from innocent hard working people, and she went into a very rude rage. I finally hung up. It's definitely a SCAM! FYI, ive people can get all your information just by you calling a certain number.

They might be verifying your particulars before they raid your accounts because of some other companies (such as Target’s security breach) compromise.

It's a confirmed scam. There's no "Department of Grants."

These people called me 4 times in a row before I finally blocked the number.  They wouldn't leave a message and I wouldn't anwer the phone.

getting this call numerous times a day from different numbers. Obviously a call center due to noise in background....one day it
s $7000 the next it's $8000. I always tell them to take me off their lst, I did not apply for a grant nor do I need one..(would be nice though) in any case I tell them they are calling a business line (which they are) and to please take my number off their list and do not call back.  lady got snooty and said she will call back many times...that she "had to"...then she hung up on me...just plain wierd...wonder if something else isn't going on there?!   In any case it seems like the only way for me to stop these calls is to change my number which I would hate to do..In the meantime I just keep adding the new numbers to my block list.  IT"S A SCAM   BEWARE.

Just ed a call from this number telling me I was qualified for grant money from the government. I told them I had not applied for grant money and to not call be again.

Called from Forks, WA. Asked them if they knew Bella and Edward, and they hung up on me!!
