Surprisingly enough, this is legitimate. It was CVS Pharmacy (recorded message) regarding hurricane Matthew. It was just a reminder to make sure you have enough medication.

I work for CVS and have gotten this phone call myself and it's a legitimate number. The company send this message out for emergency refill's during times of natural disaster to make sure the customer has enough medication for at least a few weeks. I got it as we have Hurricane Matthew approaching our state right now. Another reason to make sure your pharmacy and insurance company has your current address and number info

I got the same call - it was a recording regarding the weather (Matthew hit here) and be sure I had enough medication.  I think I'll check with  the CVS I go to.

I got a call from this number, it was a recorded message warning of severe weather (we were, in fact, having a hurricane)  and did I have enough of my medications.  The call was from CVS, (I do know that the area code 401 is from Rhode Island, and CVS main headquarters is, in fact, from Rhode Island.   Therefor, I would say this is a legit call from CVS.  I think this is a new service they are providing to their RX customers.

This is CVS call center (not a local CVS).  You probably have someone in your household with a CVS Rx needing a refill or renewal.  Asking for name and DOB is required (HIPAA law) to discuss meds.

Received this call. Said they were CVS call center and started to ask about my prescriptions. I said that my phone did not identify them as CVS, and if CVS needed to speak to me, have the local store call me.
