Called and left no message. Have been on the Do Not Call List for years and renew every 5 years. Doesn't seem to stop these telemarketers from calling. I have started answering the phone and cutting them off asking them to please take our number and name off of their list and I do report telemarketers who do not comply with my request. I also block the number, but as everyone knows, they just call from another one of their thousands of numbers. Does anyone read these complaints and do anything about them?????

no CD, they do not..I'm not sure they can..w/VOIP & the internet making it easy to spoof #'s, there's no real way to stop these kinds of calls..At home I have a Digitone Call Blocker which is the best $100 I ever spent, as it gives me the ability to block entire area codes as well as individual #'s..I love it...but I have a Straight Talk plan for my cell phone and no way of blocking ANYTHING..I often answer and play polite till I talk to someone and then verbally abuse them 'till they hang up on me or engage in foul-mouthed insults with them for fun, a lot of them are foreigners who are used to being berated by fed up customers and yell/swear back but I ALWAYS get the last word..Being as it's the only alternative, I just go along for the ride!

I am on the Do Not Call list and do not have a mortgage. This automated message was selling mortgage rates. I hung up before I could listen to the whole story behind the call.

Automated robotron voice said:  "This is an important call about your mortgage. President Obama has recently..." I hung up. They called my cell which is on the DNC.

My office line just received a call this morning with the following caller ID information:

"WELLS FARGO ADV" - 401-841-5340

I pressed "1" to be connected with an operator and was connected with someone who attempted to collect my information for a mortgage application. When I asked for contact information, I was told they couldn't give that information out over the phone, and directed me to "mortgageservices.com". When I asked if this company was affiliated with Wells Fargo, the operator hung up on me.

Called my cellphone and didn't leave a message. Caller ID said it's from Newport, RI.

Automated dialer telling me about how President Obama has just signed a stimulus bill and how I can get my mortgage reworked (not refinanced) if my interest rate is above 7% or if I am upside down on the property etc etc etc.  Called my Cell Phone.

This number called my cell phone in Florida. I am on the Do No Call List. I didn't answer the phone and they left no message. I get an average of 2 calls a day from Telemarketers.

Called me at 10:13 from a Rhode Island number.

I usually like to answer these calls and see how long I can keep it going without giving vital information.

It's an automated message saying that Obama has just put a new budget in for those that need assistance with their mortgage, whether you're behind on payments, underwater on the value or your interest is too high.
It asked me to press 1, which I did and it directed me to a guy that sounded like he was in his 20s.
He said he was with Real Estate House and Services and asked me how much I owe on my house, what its valued at, my first name and then my last name.
Once he asked for my last name I turned it around and asked him what company he works for.
He responded "Real Estate Hearts and Services, we're accredited by the BBB".
I then asked, "Do you have a website?" While I asked this I searched on the BBB website and the name isn't listed.
He responded, "Yes, it's mortgageservices.com"
So then I said, okay, hold on one second, started typing it into google and he hung up on me.
I then googled mortgageservices.com which doesn't actually exist.
I guess I made him nervous.
