Report a phone call from 402-220-1100 and help to identify who and why is calling from this number.
- Due DiligenceOk folks, just open up your local phone book or google the number for your local Walgreens and ask them if you have a perscription....SIMPLE....you take control and maybe put your phone on silent for a short while at least until the jerks stop calling, then resume normal life. TAKE CONTROL OF YOUR PHONE AND YOUR REACTION. All be well ;-)
- Caller: Walgreens
- ChattanooganThis was an automated call claiming to be from "Walgreens Refil" I suspect it of being some type of fraud since other calls from Walgreens come with my local area code.
- Bryan AllenGot call, didn't answer; I never do for numbers I don't recognize. Voicemail picked up a fragment about "…if you wish to no longer receive calls, press 8". Shrug. Caller ID did not display any info, phone just showed the number and "Omaha, NE"; I received this on my iPhone and ATT is my provider.
- concernedI listened to the voice mail, called 800-289-1129 as requested and connected to a time share opportunity in the Bahamas. Does any one know how to get off this call list?

- VerdammterMist1I have received a call from 402-220-1100 as well. I am a customer at the Walgreen's pharmacy and it is time for my refill. They did leave a message for me to call their 800 number. Don't worry folks this is a legit call. I totally agree with the comment left by Ryan on March 30th 2012.
- Dan from San JoseI concur with Shak 100%. This number 402-220-1100 is a SCAM. I get my medication from Walgreens and got reminder calls often. However like somebody already said, the automated call from the REAL Walgreens did not mention nor ask for ANY personal information. Moreover it originated from my local Walgreens in San Jose, CA.
- BelleThey have started calling me at least twice a day, not leaving a message. Good thing I have a great ringtone. I get to listen to it often.
- Caller: ?
- alissaI'm sick of them calling me and when I answer no one talks on the other line. Stop it at once! Who ever you are. If it's about my credit card, I have it all under control so leave me alone.
- Caller: I don't know
- LAll comments on other sites indicate this is not a number truly affiliated with Walgreens. DO NOT GIVE OUT YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION!!! This is what this scam call is all about.
- DavidNHI just called the number, and it was Walgreen's, not some Debt collector, and the only information it asked to confirm was date of birth, it told me my name, i didn't have to enter it. Then it continued to list my fathers prescriptions, and asked if i wished to renew them. To the people like Kevin please stop spreading misinformation. I'm not saying it isn't possible that a collection agency has a very similar number, but i called 420-220-1100, and confirmed it was Walgreen's, and they asked for no more information than a confirmation of my fathers D.O.B.

- JessupThe call may be from Walgreens, but it's very very annoying to have them call 4+ times a day sometimes. I tried calling them back and it was automated, the first thing they asked was my DOB, I consider that personal information so I hung up. I asked the manager at my regular Walgreens store and they confirmed the calls were from an automated WG pharmacy reminder system, I mentioned the DOB question and she agreed, it is personal info and some managers have suggested they stop the calls, why, because the stores have the info already and they do their own reminder calls if requested.
The problem for me, aside from the volume of calls is this, crooks can use this and exploit it to their advantage so what WG is doing is opening up a door for thieves to use with phone scams, it needs to stop.- Caller: Walgreens

- Alida replies to Nick| 1 replyI'm not sure why the system did that to you but it IS REALLY Walgreens... They called me 10 minutes ago and I had to call back. The system didn't ask for the phone number I was calling from or for the social security number, only the date of birth. AND it listed the name of the medication that's due to be refilled. However, to be completely sure, I also called my local store and they verified the number...
- Alida replies to AlidaAnd everyone is right, your DOB IS personal info. But ANYONE could say they're you so the DOB is to make sure they have the right person. The local stores also call about refills, but since Walgreens is a chain, corporate has a central system that works independantly from the local stores. I'm not in any way saying the calls aren't annoying, because they are. I just wanted to make sure the info I posted here was as accurate and complete as possible.
If you want the calls to stop, ask your local store who to contact to have your number removed from the central calling system AND added to the do not call list. That should stop the calls.
***FYI- you can do the same with ALL marketing calls. Tell them to put you on their no call list... Telling them to take you off their list is NOT the same thing...
Hope this all helps. :-) - meNot sure why Walgreens from Nebraska would be calling me on a Sunday. I never use their automated refill system and I have never gotten calls before to refill my prescriptions. I did not answer the call but they did leave a message telling me I had to call them back within 24 hours. I smell a big scam.
- Caller: Walgreens
- Eve replies to kevinI wondered that as well and I finally figured it out. Walgreens has recently centralized their refill reminder calling system. Individual pharmacies aren't making the calls anymore. Basically, there's a big computer in Omaha plugged into hundreds of phone lines, calling every Walgreens customer in the country from a weird number you don't recognize.
- Johnny replies to NickDon't call back if you get 402-220-1100. There is a huge scam going on where if you call back, a company makes you pay between $5.00 and $10 a call. Don't be fooled and don't call back out of state phone numbers. Lately we have been getting calls from the number mentioned and Hawaii area codes. Scammers are a crappy bunch of individuals who find nothing better than ripping descent people off instead of finding real jobs.
- LoniI'm so upset with myself for entering my birth date. The medication they were trying to refill had "no refills" on it. Now I'm feeling like this was a scam......don't give anyone your personal information (and I know better)......had a "stupid" moment!!!!
- Caller: Walgreens????
- Drake| 1 replyThis IS walgreens automated refill service. Third call is when the automated messages get left for me with a 1800 number to call back and confirm or cancel a refill.
