This organization calls and offers an opportunity for a job. The job description is working from home, as part of a "third party recovery program," which reports to the "government" and which is interested in processing people due a refund on their home purchase. Only at the end, they reveal that a "small" one-time fee of $69.00 to pay for the "orientation program" is required if you want this job. Don't listen - it's just a scam. If the job is real, why don't they advertise like everyone else? It's ridiculous. I hope someone reading this is helped out. In this economy, many are looking for jobs. It sounds too good to be true, probably because it isn't true.

They are now sending out "Pink" cards with 1-866-851-1249 telephone number with the same information as stated above from Sammy. There was no call from a company to me, just this pink card in my postal mail box.

I got a call today that there was a problem with my credit cards - not really but I should call today to lower my rates.  Clearly a scam. When you press "3" to be put on their do not call list, you get the message again.P

I got the same phone call this morning, and did NOT answer.  I figure if I don't recognize the number on the caller ID, I don't answer.  I have found that by not answering, it keeps me free from scams.  Try it, it works for me.

Didn't make it to the phone in time to pick up. Received the call @ around 2 pm EDT.Caller ID listed 402-982-0401 What is with this nonsense - they do not care about the "do not call list?"

Same telemarketers that brought you:
a. Car Warranty
b. Discount Drugs
c.Credit Card Discount
d.etc.

No ... these fraks do NOT care about the Do Not Call lists

Never give them any information or ever make a purchase through these thieves.

I also received a call about my credit card and it went into voice mail.  This is the second time I received a call from these people. They have have nothing better to do with their time?  GET A JOB!!!

Did not answer.  They have called several times and I have not answered yet.  I do not answer any callers that I don't know.  I figure if it's important enough they will leave a message (which they never do)

These scumbags claimed there's a problem with my credit card. When I asked which one, the imbecile said "the one you use most". I laughed uncontrollably and asked if his IQ is one digit or 2 digits. The idiot hung up. Not too shabby, eh?

Identical message that I have been recieving from 804-234-9010. Information on Credit Card Debt. "Press 3 to opt out" does NOT work. It only sends them into a feeding frenzy. Pressed 3 and got 3 calls a day from them

I held to get a rep. to ask which company they were calling from and for who since it didn't state...I was hung up on...clearly a scam of some sort. I tried to call the number back and was only offered an option to remove myself from their call list...I would like to know WHO is calling

Is there anywhere to report these companies, since they are breaking the law?

I got the call but did not answer. I checked out phone number and was directed to this page. I kind of figured this could be a bogus number, but
finds out about these scam artists. My question, where do they get your cell
phone number? How do you stop this kind of deceit and fraud?

I have asked 30 to 40 times for these people to stop calling and they will not stop

Some sort of Debt liquidating scam.  When I tried to ask to be removed, they hung up.

They just called me, I don't answer unrecognized numbers so I didn't answer. They didn't leave a message.

Per Bill Handel (KFI AM 640) - Tell them you are recording the conversation right from the start, and that they are harassing you. They should hang up immediately.

I don't answer calls from outside my area code...

I just pick up the receiver and then hang it right back up.

99.9 % of the time it is a telemarketer or a scam.

They just change the last four digits of the number...I have received calls from 402-982-0546, 402-982-0566 and 402-982-0771 also.

This # just called me now (17:13 CST, 04-26-10).  I didn't recognize the area code.  I googled the # and came here.  I think the same people called me last night (but last 4 digits were different).

this is crap there should be harsher penalties for calling people on the do not call list. why don't we have a Czar for this!!
