This could be a legit number for some people. But we all know tele- marketers can display any number they so choose.   In many cases this is quite likely a scam of some sort.   Got a call from that number today.  I live by EDmonton  and have never had anything to do with the foothills hospital. Did not answer the phone and no message was left.    Anytime my doctor's office calls me or the hospital calls, they always leave a message.

Called, never left a message. I live in Northern Alberta,  if any doctor is getting a hold of me it wouldn't be coming from them. I've never even been there.

This number called me 4 o'clock at morning when I muted my phone. Not sure what they want to do.

I missed the call.

I have received several calls from this number over the past month, I answered it once and the lady identified herself as ???? (can't remember her name) from AHS (Alberta  Health Service) and that AHS has authorized them under a section of the Health Services Act to call and inquire as to ones health problems and if one had any issues with the Health Care Services provided.

I got a call - in fact several calls from this number - and the lady identified herself as being with AHS (Alberta Health Services) and said that she (and other callers from that number) were authorized under a section of the Health Services Act to call and to inquire as to ones health problems and had any issues with the health services provided.

Some one called my home number today at 5:15  but did not leave a message. Am wondering if this was for an appointed if so please reply back to 403 248 4840 tomorrow thank you

Didn't recognize it so didn't answer it. I have been in hospital in Medicine Hat recently and was told I might need to see a specialist in Calgary. Would they call from this number and leave no message? Seems strange to me. Has anyone else ever had that happen from this number, especially the neurology department? And do all departments there use this one number? Would appreciate the help as I do not have a regular home phone, just use minutes and have very little money to waste on crap like surveys. Thanx.

Don't know why they called - for a survey I think; but they never should have called .  My husband stayed in UOFA in Edmonton March 7; then was transferred back to Cross Cancer Institute.  He died shortly thereafter.  Seems to me something like that should have been communicated before calling for a F_cking survey.

Called and left no message. I do not answer phone calls unless they are from people who I know. I have never been to foothills hospital, so I am questioning how they would have even gotten my number. As previously mentioned, there is no privacy concerns with leaving a message saying "This is XXX calling for XXXX. Please call back on XXxX". Screams of a scammer using the hospitals identity to phish for information. You should KNOW when your appointments are and if you don't, start writing them on a calendar to remind you. Scammers will stop at nothing to get your info. Better to be safe than sorry!

It's not a safe number.  Google it and you will see it's attached to scams
