Just got a call fro 406-623-3644, I have a jacksonville, fl # I didn't answer thanks to this thread. crazy!

I receive a call but didn't answere my cell

got a call from this number, I answered and it put me on hold. I waited for about 1 minute (why?) and a woman answered and asked if I had $1000+ in credit card debt. I said no and she immediately hung up on me.

I just got the same call from the number.  Ignored it, then got the voice mail with some special "authorization" from an unspecified credit card offering me a low rate.  What a scam!

Received call from this number just now.  NO ANSWER when I responded.  Called the number back and got NOTHING.  No ringing, no answer, just dead silence.  I hate the people who do this.  Obviously, they are unbalanced to the nth degree or they just to get new lives.

Some scam about lower interest rate and that she had sent me something in the mail... lol

saw this number as a missed call on my cell. tried to call back, it would ring a few times and then id hear "have a nice day" and then it would continue to ring. hmmm???d8

Answered call.  The person said they were following up from what they sent last week in the mail and something about lower credit card interest rate.  I hung up.  SCAM!

Number left a voice message on my cell phone claiming they were following up on information then mailed to me about lower my interest rate on my credit card account. ... Too bad I cut up and cancelled ALL of my credit cards back in 1990.

Was called by this number but didn't answer.  No message was left.

Called my company cell phone and when I answered it was a recording saying they could lower my credit card rates.

That same number called my 10 year old daughters cell phone so I called it back....it doesn't even ring. This isn't the first time she has been called by that number but she never answers. She knows only to answer calls from numbers in her phone.

To all of the above situations, this isn't weird. This is a tactic for internet thieves to gain access to your computers. Few years ago I caught biggest internet thieves in the us. Since they knew I caught them and they couldn't get into my computer, they tried destroy tactics. So one night left my internet connection on. Phone rang 3 o'clock in the morning. Since I have no one calling me, knew false address and name. Because thieves use any name or phone numbers they choose. Next morning tried turning on my computer and had a blue screen, then they send a message saying have to format my hard drive but didn't. Long story short phone calls like these will gain access into your computer depending how it is set up, such as on the same modem, and of course your protection and settings. Some cases this will divert your browser to a master connection point. I get calls like this just about every day. But now all in vain. So to me this isn't weird just normal everyday thieves at work. Also same time fighting the thieves got calls from another number. Found out it was one on FTC list for complaints , that one diverted browsers notified FTC who they were and why they were doing it. So just to give everyone heads up on some to the tactics thieves use to gain access to your computer. Phone is a popular means. Especially if on the same lines and modems.

Are any of you getting married?  I just Gave David's Bridal my info and I've been getting tons of email and phone spam, this is one of the numbers harassing me too.  The other option in my world would be student loans.  I have lots of them.

Just got a call from this number. I did not answer but they left a message. It was about a pain-free meter for diabetics and if I wanted to order one. Medicare recipients automatically qualify, yay!

Call from this # came in on cell.  Did not answer.  No voicemail was left.  Wikipedia says the Area Code is in Montana.

Received call from this number on business cell. Tried to call back, no ring tone.

These calls that you are getting... "Uh, Hi"... are a trick by "Junk Debt" collection agencies to get you to answer the phone. I received a few calls a couple of weeks ago, different days, different times. Every single message left was identical! Sounds of a guy saying similar: Hello... hello...? Then the sound of a door in the background. Then the sound of the phone being handled, and then click. The message lasted about 20 seconds, long enough for someone not paying attention to asnwer by mistake!
