- cpa replies to ABi used to work for marriott, that is the right number. the marriott does not mail out information, probably why she hung up.
- Lynn| 1 replyThis is annoying. How do you stop these kinds of calls? The do not call list doesn't seem to stop everyone. I am not really sure they are Marriott, despite being identified as them.
- Caller: Marriott
- etlThis lady from Marriot called and I told her that it was 8:30 p.m. and hung up. She calls me back and hangs up. This is so annoying...I added her to my call blocker. I hope this works...if not, I'm gonna report them.

- etl replies to LynnIt's Marriot. Enter Marriot and the number in google; the name comes up Debra Brown. I called there to ask her to stop calling me at night but, she was on the phone. I added Marriot to my phone block *67. Hope this works.
- Susan in MAThe number shows up on our call ID as Marriott. They call a lot and never leave a message. We are on the Do Not Call List and I can't remember the last time I stayed at a Marriott. I don't care whether this is a deal of a life time that I am missing. No one has a right to invade my home. That is why there is a Do Not Call Registry. Furthermore, this deal of a life time could be introduced over my voice mail. There is no message. Come on, now. Why give them the time of day.
- Caller: Marriott

- Joni replies to DEMOr, perhaps simply block this number from your phone? I plan to do the same.

- baba replies to Former Employeehey get loose
- dpwReceived call this a.m. from them. Gentleman was polite but still annoying because he did not seem to hear me the first couple of times when I tried to tell him my family was not in a position to consider these offers.
I called Marriott Customer Service. Told them I am a MR Member but had no interest in receiving these calls.
Had me call 800-845-5279 and tell the Rep to take off list. He requested one piece of verification info and then told me we would be removed for 3 years.
Even if you have a relationship with a company the FTC Do Not Call rules allow you to opt out of calls from these companies if you make a request to them.http://www.business.ftc.gov/documents/alt129- ... -provisions-tsr- Caller: Marriott

- Always Be Cautious| 1 replyLegitimate companies generally do not resort to cold-calling customers because they know their customers generally react negatively to such practices. Usually, they will send mailers rather than call. Unless the company is desperate, of course, or is not concerned with alienating their existing customer base.
I am a member of numerous hotel reward programs and vary my stays accordingly. Not one of them has cold-called me.
Another reason to be suspicious of this call is that even though the Caller ID shows Marriott and the a number in Orlando, there is NO guarantee this is actually where the call is coming from. Savvy scammers can easily spoof any name and number, so what appears on your Caller ID may not, in fact, be who is actually calling.
Always be on alert.- Caller: Supossedly Marriott

- noone's homeWe stayed in an Orlando timeshare NINE - yes NINE - years ago (a legit gift won, donated by an owner). Although the place was great, we fell for the presentation as I've been able to sit through a few before & you usually get a decent reward. I have NEVER seen such AGGRESSIVE vultures, & the worst thing was that they had shuttled us out to the middle of nowhere, so we couldn't leave until completing the gauntlet of toothier hounds. In the following years, we've received calls here & there ... Once I picked up to nicely request that our number be permanently removed, & the guy not only was unbelievably rude and pushy, but continued to call for several days, insisting that I MUST be interested since they had our number, etc. Looks like either they're under owner who's dusted off old "leads" or the original slimeball company resold the number list.

- Va| 1 replyGot the call on my cell
To get a vacation package. Scam!!- Caller: Marriott vacation
- current employee replies to Vait's not a scam. either you want to save money or you don't. People like you are always asking for great prices and get upset when someone tries to offer it to you. You and every other unintelligent consumer will continue to waste money on vacation. That's why rich people will always stay rich because you idiots are stupid.
- NinnyGot a missed call from them, no message was left. The called ID lists: Marriott Vacation.
- Caller: Marriott Vacation
- Marriott Guest 1If you ask to be removed, and you are not, call your Marriott rewards people and tell them to stop the harassment.
If they don't, tell them you'll stay at Hilton family of hotels. Better cancellation policy anyway,- Caller: Marriott
- Call type: Telemarketer
- Portergreen replies to Former EmployeeWhat I want Marriott and other companies to do, is to list their company NAME along with the phone number so it shows up on caller ID. THEN, I'm more likely to answer. And also, leave a message. If you don't do those two things then I will not talk to you.
