Received a call from 408-535-0182 on 12-7 from No Ml PBIS.  They were selling a subscription to the Marin Independent Journal Sunday edition.  I'm now thinking this is a scam.  They wanted too much info-including credit and debit card numbers.  I didn't give them that but I did give my e-mail address.  Hope it doesn't come back to bite me!

Just got multiple phone calls this evening. Not sure how they got my number, seeing as I just got this phone number a few weeks ago with a new phone.

For the last three days I have been receiving calls from this number. If it was just once a day, I wouldn't be as upset. But they call between 6-10 times Per Day, starting around 8am till about 9-10 pm. Three days of harassment.

I'm posting now because the exact same thing happened to me last year, around the same time. That time the harassing calls lasted about two weeks, just constant spam of my phone.

I researched the number last year, and discovered it was the Mercury News. A poster here named James, who supposedly worked for the company, posted here saying to simply add your number to a "Do Not Call" list.
I followed his advice and did so.

And here we are, exactly a year later, and the harassment begins anew. It's been 3 days. I do not want another two weeks of this.

If this is the way the Mercury News chooses to treat people, I hope they go out of business. I have never had a subscription from them, and, as I do not live in San Jose, never will. But even if I were to move there, considering this type of harassment, I would never even consider them.

I have received multiple calls in one day from this number on my land line. I set up the land line in January. I ignore it most of the time, but if I do pick up there is no one there. Reverse call noted it was from Pacific Bell.......do they even exist anymore??????

I've received about 8 calls from this number today while I was near the phone, could be 2 to 3 times that many since I've been out of the office most of day, sometimes within 3 minutes of each other.

called back. message says leave a number to be taken off the list, but the it says voicemail box is full.
