been receiving multiple calls from this "non-working" Maryland Government number.  make it stop!

It is the Maryland Gov outgoing line.  In my case, it was the unemployment office calling.  

Hi. I have been calling this number, I was not home.  And everytime I call it goes to a voicemail. I left my name and number and still have not heard anything back no call back or nothing.  Should I be concerned.

For me it was Md Medicare. It's definitely business you have in Md but could be a variety of agencies. Hopefully they leave you a message as its a non call back number. Otherwise you'll have to answer to clear it up.

This people are calling on and off with different stories.  The last time said "I am tired of you not given the information I need I will report this to delinquent department and when I called the number on the caller ID is wasn't a working number.  Please somebody stop them.

this number continues to call my phone number and then hang up when I pick up the phone. its completely unknown who it is and needs to stop.

they left no message. immediate return call got useless voicemail. no ID

Some one call me from 410-767-3000 and said that is from Premiun Madicaid and ask  for my social and my son Social I gave to her because she said that was because about my case with Premiun. she have now our ssn. I am really worried.

What was the complete phone number...I have gotten at least 6 calls in the past 2 weeks...and when I call the number it says it is a NON WORKING phone number...they kidding me!

It is a VALID phone call from 410 767 3000. It comes from MY department,  I work at the Comptroller's office.  We use a computer dialer system for business tax collections & sometimes the system calls & isn't synced properly and the caller hangs up before the account comes through to our screen.  When we leave messages we leave the number to call back is 410 649 0633. You will NEVER find the 3000 number because it is just an outgoing computer line.

And as far as mentioning a gentleman calling with a thick accent that is one of my coworkers,  he is friendly and calling from an OFFICIAL state office NOT INDIA. These calls relate to sales & use taxes,  payroll taxes,  admissions & amusement taxes and corporate taxes.

Alot of people open these accounts & forget about them which causes them to become delinquent in our system. Sometimes it is just a wrong number.  The person who opened the account may have had your same phone number years ago and maybe now their account is delinquent and we need to call them but they never updated their contact info.  At any rate return the call to 410 649 0633 and we will be happy to get to resolve the matter.

I've answered calls from this number on the first ring. Then there's a click and the call is disconnected. This is very annoying...it's already happened twice today.

I'm sorry Kia but it seems to me that you might need to attend the Md. states employee customer service program. Any customer who received multiple calls with no explanation or way to validate them has a legitimate complaint. And as far as the comment about the thick accent, instead of assuming this customer is a racist, let's consider that in the past 6 months there have been over a million reports of internet and phone scams by foreign entities who have racked in 100s of millions of dollars and countless peoples identities. Perhaps, just giving the benefit of the doubt, that he was doing what all reports say, and was checking before he gave out any information? And then, just perhaps, when he didn't find the number, he thought it could be something other than a call from the comptrollers office. So, again instead of  berating your customers, just maybe you should apologize for the confusion and post the number on your website so that when people are cold called by a complete stranger with no provable identification they, at the very least, can have a number that matches up with what they are being told. Just a suggestion from one of the customer who has been called and had no idea who this number was from!

I am getting multiple calls from this number. All hang-ups when I answer.

Also no message ever left. If it were legitimately "the tax man" one would think a message would be left saying hey, you owe us $$$—no?

This is the State of Maryland phone #.  Any calls from any state employee will be seen as 410-767-3000.  Unfortunately, if they don't leave a voicemail with a callback number, then you're out of luck with returning the call.
