- me too replies to JessMe too. He started callling last week from 202-239-0426 said I had to be in federal court on DC May 26th. He didn't ask for money but I knew it was a scam. Had a lawyer call him anyway. He said to ignore the calls. Why can' they trace the cell phone?
- not meRice gets around. Now he's a DC DEA agent. How can he be getting away with this for 6 months? I don't think anyone really is investigating. They would have caught him by now.
- Caller: DEA scam
- Call type: Prank
- angryI think he's a disgruntled former pharmacy rep that took a list of names with him. How else would have names, address, phone for so many people?

- Fb| 1 replyLt. W. Rice is still at it. Called me this morning 5/26 with the same information listed above. You would figure the douche could come up with a new alias since his current one is on every forum on the net.
He is currently calling from 202-239-0426.
If you get the call and wonder if it is legit, notice that they claim to be the DEA-Drug Enforcement Agency. That doesn't exist. It is the DEA-Drug Enforcement Administration. This little slip must be his way of either a. being a douche or b. avoiding being charged for impersonating an officer. - JB replies to FbJust received the same phone call. What is going on? Is this guy for real. So glad I looked this up and found out this guy is a.....freak!
- in LAThis scam artist is at it again. He has demanded that I pay $950 via Western Union to a person in the District Attorney's office in the Dominican Republic. I have spoken to the DEA in LA and DC, as well as the Los Angeles Police Department.
Ignore this person. Don't speak with him. Do not call him back. He is fishing for "suckers" who get frightened by his demands (and he tries really hard to sound convincing). Just ignore this person. He is a fraud.
Call the DEA in Washington DC at 410-244-3574. Ask for detective Joe Rosati. Report the call. I spoke with Mr. Rosati. They have made some arrests and they are continuing efforts to find this so-called Lt. Rice.- Caller: Unknown
- JillI got the same messge from William Rice. I called him back, and was scared to death. My husband went to our local police station to report the call. I believed they would put me in federal prison if I did not send the money to him today. My husband and co-workers said it was a scam, but it still scared me. He sounded so "real".
- Caller: DEA
- GlenKI got the same call today but it was from number 202-239-0426 from Lt William Rice. Also got a call from a guy named Julio Santana who said he was with the DEA in the Dominican Republic, the number he called from was 678-259-0246 which is an Atlanta number.
These guys do sound good, they have obviously been practicing this for a while.- Caller: William Rice (Lt)

- Cyndi B| 1 replyI just received a call this morning from 410-781-8251 and did not answer it because I did not recognize the number. They left a message. It was a male stating that his name was Mark johnson and he was head of the department for the DEA. He stated that due to a current ongoing investigation it was extremely important that I return his call. He had a foreign accent. He addressed me by my full name and marked the message as urgent. I did not call the number back because I know that I would not be involved in any DEA investigation. Could this be the same type of call you all have been receiving? Should I contact someone in regards to this voicemail? Thanks a million for any advice you may offer.
- Caller: States he is DEA
- dan replies to Cyndi BI got the same call this morning from 410-781-8251, probably the same guy scaming
- gpjust got a call & message from 410-929-8358 this on my cell phone did not anser call becaue did not recognize the number. Looks like these scammers got a new phone # to call from. they did not say a name this time on the message but used the usual on going investigation BS. Thanks to this web sight their initial semi convincing message means nothing and will get NO Action from me. Its hard to believe these guys have been doing tis scamm for so long. I thought the real law enforcement would be better and faster at catching these scammers.
- very annoyed| 4 repliesI got the same voicemail message today from a Mark Tompson. He stated he is the commader/officer in charge for the DA department on administation. He said it was in regarding an investigation. Very odd, he mumbled the whole time. He also said it was very important that I call him back at 410-781-8251 ext1178. Anyhow, I knew it was a scam because he called me before as his old alias Rice. What an idiot! I hope they catch this guy!
- kbarrett replies to very annoyed| 1 replyI got a call also..just listened to my voicemails. Have a bad habit of not checking them:). My call was on Dec. 1st, william rice dea in washington. I was freakin out big time, did a search and found everyones post. Thank goodness. thanks for the info guys! btw the number was 202-241-5763
- jane replies to kbarrettI got the exact same call from william Rice. it scared me to death. thank goodness I found you guys online as well and found out it was a scam.
- PatThese scammers get your name and phone# from the pharmacuetical companys where you can buy medication (usually from out of the country) they also track pet meds. The scam stems from the dominican republic but they do have scammers based right here in the U.S. Most are in the D.C. area but they may be from elsewhere.
They tried this crap with me. If you can get ahold of the local police where the calls are coming from and or where they might go to pick-up a money order (provided its a U.S. location) They can be caught. They can be set-up when they go to the western union office if they believe you are sending it there. If they tell you to send it to the dominican republic or an other location outside the country it may be impossible to catch them.- Caller: dominoscam

What a scum bag. - Diane E. replies to very annoyed| 1 replyWOW Im glad I found this site. I have had calls from a Mark Thompsom and now aSteve Germano with a accent that sounds like twin. They try the same scam saying medicine found in Dominican Republic but now the threat was to my husband as well. We needed to pay a fine of 1200-4000. They now are including comments about US customs I also got a return call today saying he was from DEA in Washington DC with a DC area code. I am only writing so no else gets these calls and thinks they are real. The phone # 202-239-8182 and 202-239 5717.
- Atl harrasementyep I got the same message for a MR. Xavier Pena. I thought it fish when you call they garble the actual agency name (never noticed that before). And the hold music was better than most government offices.
The name, number and topic are all similar to what is here. I called back and got a voice and said I was aware of your scam from looking on Google and I was going to call the real DEA. His response "OK" and then hung up.
