I received several calles from home 303927-7042 and work 303 572-3550  They say they are from the states attorney general's office and that I am in serious trouble.  I keep telling them I am on to their scam and the still keep calling

dont call my phone  no more or the cops wiil be seeing are ok

Ask whom is company, amount and when.
No answer.

Threaten papers & sherriff. Already sent.
Said funny not received!

Got a call from someone on Thursday stated that they was legal affairx calling about a debt I owed. Please post # for ftc.

I just got a call sayin it was sum paralegal n they were takin me tocourt. When i googled the #- i see its a scam, which i assumed when the indian accented man said his name was kevin smith lol. So i immediately filed a complaint with the FTC. Hopefully they catch the person tryin to scam us all!

I keep getting calls from same number. Indian accent, can barely understand. They say they are from an attorneys office and there is a suit against me. If I don't take care of it, there will be a warrant for my arrest. They have me very upset.

Caller claims he represents Legal Authority and is an attorney. Will not tell you anything but there is a "case filed against your SS number". Threatens to have you arrested, etc. Foreign speaking and will not transfer to English speaking person. Caller ID indicates the call is from California.

Leaves harassing threatening messages.

They just called me and said i will be picked up by the police . That i owe a payday loan. I never got a heyday loan. So they  hung up in my face. They are stupid.

This is most likely an off-shore scam. The caller has a heavy accent and you can hear a lot of other people talking in the background. I had a similar experience a few years back. The phone number may say it is originating from somewhere in the US but they are using VOIP (voice over internet protocol) and it can be coming from anywhere. They try to scare people into sending them money. They make all kinds of threats that anyone who knows anything about debt collection knows they can't make, so it is obvious to the learned that they are a scam, but if you're not familiar with such things they can sound very threatening.
You should report them to the FTC, although they most likely will not be able to do anything about it since they are most likely based somewhere outside the US. I even tried to ge the local police involved based on the location of the phone number but all they could do was confirm it was an off shore outfit using a local number over the internet.
Best thing to do is ignore them.  If you try to get them to mail you something to confirm the debt you end up giving them personal information which they can either sell or use to steel your identity. Don't do it- just hang up!

They called me last week at work and said I owed them 676$i said I never got the loan they said I wrote a bbbad check and owed them4000 in legal fees I said I don't even have a checking acct they said a sherrff was going to my job anwas d arressst me. And garnish my wages I was scared at first cause they had my setrwassocmmyly security number. These people need to be stopped they are from India one guy said his name was Michael Carter I said no Indian person has an American pname. He hungth up the pgphon

They called me saying I owed them money from a Pay day loan I never got and they were watching me they knr ew wheret I worked and were going to pick me up and have me arrested they had an Indian accent,!?,?) R

A man named Steve Williams calls me that he is an attorney and that I am being charged with 3 charges for fraud and money laundry and I couldnt understand the last one cause he sounds like he is Hindu... They said they had deposit some money in my account... They didnt even make sense...  So not true I never got any money and I any kind of trouble... Be careful applying on line for personal loans cause thats how they found me and took $185.00 dollars from me... I have the info on that loan but I'm still investigating because I know they r connected...

Caller had a very heavy accent. Would not say who he was or why he called until I made him angry when I told him he couldn't speak English. He was threatening and used foul language.

Consistantly calls my job,sayin I owe money to some payday loan company. I've told them I've never borrowed money from payday loan, however they keep calling. They are very bothersome,especially when they continue to call my job.  How do I make them stop?

Eric Wilson Called saying my husband needed to hire an attorney or file bankrupcy because he had a past due account with Cash Advance USA. We've never heard of this company. They told him that he would be arrested for it. Report!!

I'm 61 yrs old & just started geting these calls from 415-484-6151. I really let it bug me untill i called my daughter & she sen me this link. Tanks for the nmber & i'll sure call them Mon. to turn the # in & complain. Thanks again,Grace
