Got 3 automated phone calls from Julie smith aka fake IRS agent today. It's a shame that calls like this happened and the real IRS has zero power what so ever to stop them......

Total scam -- caller claiming to be from the IRS.  "I am Officer Julie Smith from Internal Revenue Service, and the hotline to my division is 415-506-1284.  I repeat it's 415-506-1284.  Don't disregard this message and do return the call before we take any action against you. Goodbye and take care."

This was a message left on my phone, I got 4 of this in 2 days.  I'm 100% it is a SCAM!!!!!!

Thanks for the web link to report this fraud.  I just reported our two phone messages we received today from "Julie Smith and the IRS".  We knew it was a scam as soon as we heard it.

I have received 5 calls this morning from the number..... with message from Julie Smith... I called back and it answered and but know one was there so I listened to the people talking and I could hear them working out deals on receiving money from these poor unsuspecting people on the other end....... I hope someone gets them stopped....

Got a call from this number and left a voice message claiming to be an IRS agent. I left a voice message to call back with my name number, shouldn't have done that.

i also received a call that i should caontact them immediately and do not ignore their call otherwise collection and assets will be attatched .
               when i called back they hang up ,i called them many times and after saying hellow by listning my voice they hang up

Yes I got the same call.

Fake IRS call told me reported income and return didn't match and there is a lawsuit failed.

Fraud IRS call threatening action against me if I did not return phone call.  IRS does not make pre-recored calls like this.

Got this call like three times  today. Here is script of voicemail. Called back and said 'Juilie is on a break". BS!!:

Received an automated call from Investigator Julie Smith. I returned the call and spoke with a man with a very thick accent who told me I owed back taxes and someone would come arrest me in 2 hours. I knew it was bogus and asked for a supervisor the. Was put on hold. Needless to say, no one ever came on. I hung up after about 2 minutes

They wanted $5,988.54 from us. Other numbers are 506-2394 and 234-9582.

Same message, same deal. Calling form SF, CA. $7K in owed taxes. Referred me to "restitution dept" 415 506 2395. Same song, but now owed $8K. Both guys were hard to understand with "agts" in the background talking to other callers. Said an arresting officer was coming to the house in 2 hrs. Had mailed item 2x before. I started asking questions and he hung up. This was on a Sat morning at 7:45am.

received a call tried to call back and finally someone answered i told him you have a heavy accent
. He started to talk and I ask him the name of his president and he didnt know and I hung up on him.

Just received a message to call this number back. Googled and discovered this site and with more digging landed on the  IRS current web alert about scam callers. Thanks for posting!  And for anyone seeing this and the other messages, save yourself the trouble - don't call the #!

We have received 2 phones today...IRS scam, from 415.506.1284.  We hung up both times.  

Received call obviously fake from IRS rep.  Makes me sick when people prowl on unsuspecting.
