I also was called by the same man twice and he said the same things as mentioned above except that I would be arrested within the hour by police who would come to my house.  I asked him if he wanted money and he said that I could not pay now that it was too late.  I called the police and they asked me to report it the the IRS who has a red tab on the top right side of their homepage that allows you to send a complaint to the fraud/impersonation/scam team.

Received call from a man with an Indian accent saying there is a legal matter pending against me that required that I call back as soon as possible, or that I can have my attorney call.  He says he is from the Department of Legal Affairs. He doesn't identify WHICH Dept of Legal affairs he is with.  This is the lowest form of intimidation from a telemarketer.  Any serious or legal action would NOT come from a phone call but rather from a registered letter OR process server.  Call was saved but ignored.

we received the same message and I called back to hear a Indian Man tell me he was from the Legal Affairs of US Treasury.  He would not say what it was about and when I send send it to me in a registered letter he said we already mailed you and we will issue an arrest warrant next and quickly hung up.   Reporting now to the site below

Basically received same call from man with thick Indian accent, calling regards my daughter (under her maiden name -- she's been married 9+ years) and from the U.S. Treasury Legal affairs department regarding a recent action.  Was told to call back this number (4159357074) and talk to Derek Smith or Ryan Coleman.  

Scam!  I'm glad I wasn't very polite to him!

I received the same message.  I was worried at first, but I'm now glad that I looked up his phone number and found this page.

This number called and I was out. The caller left a long-winded message on my answering machine. He used my maiden name, which I have not used in 2 years. The man had a thick, Indian accent and stated that he was with the Department of Legal Affairs. He identified himself as Javan Minner. He stated that I needed to contact him right away because there was "enforcement action started on your name." He also said that it would be better if my attorney called him back. I am glad I read the other posts on this page; it seems like the same story all around.

Came home to message from "Jordan Miller" from Dept of Legal Affairs.  Message was the same as above.  Really hope people don't give this scammer any personal info or money.  Ridiculous!

Got a call from" Jordan Miller" same BS! If he calls me again, I will tell him that the police is looking for him.

I got a call from the same guy.  Use Prankdial.com and call him back using any of the listed pranks.  The pranks are free… lets all start pissing this guy off!

Received 3 calls from 415-935-7074 but now the Indian man is calling himself Jordan miller, I have also had multiple hang ups from the number, it's a scam to make you believe you owe the government money, very similar to the IRS SCAM.

Got TWO calls in rapid succession 800 on the first one that was supposedly looking for information on an employee.  I asked them who they were and was told by the gal that it was for a garnishment.  Told her that any information on any employee would never be given for any purpose.  Within minutes of hanging up with the gal THIS call came in from this number looking for the exact same person.  The person they are looking for does NOT work for this company - and even if they did it would get them no response.  When challenged over calling a business, the guy got gruffy and I simply hung up.  Obviously both calls are scams

I asked him if I could speak with someone that spoke better English, because I could not understand the slime ball, because he spoke in a heavy INDIAN ACCENT I would suggest you to have your reading attorney to do it for you and do not delay because this will become a very serious matter for you.

Received 2 calls from the Indian accent guy claims he is calling from  the Legal Affairs of US Treasury.  I call back and asking him for a Federal Employment Identification number to prove he legit, and he hang up immediately.  This is definitely a SCAM.

Same message as others.  This fellow had an Asian accent and used the Mark Anderson alias.  The number was (415) 935-7074.  I referred this to a friend who is an FBI agent.

I received a very similar call yesterday (Oct 6) which went to voicemail.  Same guy with an Indian accent but using a very 'plain-Jane' American name:  Jordan Miller. The same phone number (415-935-7074) and veiled threats implicating the 'Treasury'. Thanks for having a place to spread the word about such scams, I hate them too.  Certainly wish they could be caught. I love the reverse call strategy if you have the time and fortitude to follow through.

Yep....I got the same message. Thick Indian accent but trying really hard to enunciate properly...LOL!!! Message says: "This is Jordan Miller from the Dept. of Legal Affairs. You need to call me immediately regarding enforcement action against you. This is a serious situation"....blah, blah, blah. Too funny that he also wished me a nice day and looking forward to speaking with me!!! Caller ID says 'unknown.'
