Overly nice lady just called me claiming to be TD bank selling a new credit report fraud detection service. Knew my first name. Asked for last name and then email for confirmation, then date of birth which I found suspicious so I hung up. Good thing I did since when I searched the number afterwards I found this page.

called me 4 times today, I called back and they knew what bank I used. Sounds like a AI. I know they sound real these days but no one who talks on the phone all day sounds that good.

I accidentally gave my email address name and dob but I called TD after they said it’s scammed I changed my password from my account should I be concered ?

No. Whoever it is likely had your email already (and the email of most of the people they contact). If someone has an individuals name and ph# they can use that info to track down anything other that's out there on the net relating to that person.

I got the same call just now (416-874-1393) claiming they are from TD and new my first name. She did her spiel and asked me to confirm my name. I did not give it to her. I told her i would speak with my bank because i have an appointment with them next week. She said they wouldn't know about it. I just hung up.

Called to get $20/month to send me my credit score information. Said she was from Santel calling TD customers with this safety offer. I asked what company would I be paying the $20 to, TD or Santel? She just started talking about other stuff. Clearly a scam.

Called twice a day for about a week now……I never pick up and they don’t leave a message. 🤔

They called me today saying it was TD bank they knew my name but it sounded like a prerecorded message the woman voice kept saying “are you there?” In the same tone of voice, I kept saying “hello” pretending I couldn’t hear then for a split second I heard a male’s voice saying “is it Estella”? And then went back to the woman’s voice kinda like a voice alteration device.

They knew my name and said they were calling from Td credit line or something along the line.
The caller had no accent and was very polite very credible that’s why I had to come here and double check if it was a scam. I told her I was at work and she said she will call another day, I’m blocking her ass right now .

Same have been receiving calls from this number daily for 10 days now. It is marked LIKELY FRAUD (i dont know if Rogers marked this ). I dont pick up.
