It's amazing that these guys are still doing it. The messages on the board go back years complaining of the same thing (that is happening to us):
We get a call from "Renton WA" 425-282-5526, when we pick up (to tell them to stop calling us) there is nobody at the other end and the line is disconnected.
I just emailed the company and the FCC to complain.

I just got a call from this number. It showed up on my caller ID as: "Renton WA 1-425-282-5526". I answered and no one was there. Very odd, why bother calling if you're just going to hang up when someone answers?

This makes sense, as I have signed up for Microsoft game testing in the past and now I am getting calls from this number. Thanks for the info!

This # keeps calling.  No message left, phone # does not accept calls and no one answers when we answer the call.  They call several times a day.

I was getting calls from (405) 282-5526 as well.  I called 1 (425) 271-2300 to request they stop.  They said they would for the current survey but I could receive calls on their next survey.  They stated that they are exempt from "Do Not Call" lists.  I could not find out where they received my "mobile" number.

I get a cell phone call from that number about every other day....I'm tired of it.

I got the call, no msg left, and looked up the number and found this blog. Davids post on 2-16-08 gave the company addres and phone. I called and the woman was very polite and said she would remove my number from the call list (I hope!)

Ths number called me and doesn't leave a message. And when calling back can not get a live person.

I answered and it hung up.  Caller ID said "Renton"

Pacific Market Research is a company that Pays or compensates for your participation in market research.  They call you because you gave them your number, or one of your "friends" gave them your number because they thought you would be interested in being included.  I LOVE when my phone rings with this number!  It is always CASH if I can meet the requirements for what they are hiring for.  They have to ask the questions because the companies that hire them require that you meet their target demographic.  Even my kids have gotten to make a couple of hundred just playing a few games and giving their opinion about software.  I am guilty of giving my friends names and numbers out, but they were already interested in this because we have been doing it for so long and they let us know that if they ever had the opportunity to participate, they would love to do it as well.  Market research is fun; you are treated VERY well by Pacific Market Research, and compensated for your participation.  Don’t sign up if you don’t want to be called.

have had numerous calls and since i work night shift it is extremely annoying!

425-282-5526 called my phone while I was napping. No message was left, so I called the number and a recorded voice said, "Leave a message".immediately followed by another voice which said,"Goodbye". at which point the call disconnected.

I ended up at this site trying to find a phone look up site that I don't have to pay for. for this inconvenience I should not have to pay for the peace of mind to know who is calling my phone.

My guess is the call is generated by one of the sites offering a detailed phone look up for a fee.

I just called the company in renton and asked why I was receiving call when I was on the national do not call list and she stated that they were exemp by a law papped by congress and I again told her to remove my number and never call again. I then filed a complaint at www.ftc.gov

used this link-dont use the form...go to the contact section-there is a menu a a page to fill in your phone number to be removed in one business day...hope it works!

Calls a lot of the time. Yesterday, today, the day before. Answer but no one speaks.

Just Got a call from this  number. didnt answer. I never answer numbers I dont know or blocked. my dads number is blocked. he knows to leave a message. I love google. You can figure out so much. thanks for all the previous posts. now I will google how to block them. maybe they make a app for that on my Iphone.

425-271-2300 is their REAL number, not the fake one on caller ID.  I plan to call it about 600 times tomorrow and hang up.  Please join me.

Also, their email address is info@pacificmarketresearch.com .  I plan to subscribe them to a flurry of annoying emails.  Hopefully I can waste just a little of their time.

These surveys are not for any public good.  They are for corporations that just want to sell you more junk.

Calls but leaves no information when they can't reach person they want. On DNC list... like that matters!!

Who is calling from that number and hanging up as soon as I answer? At least 20 times, so far. Its bad enough that my husband died recently but to be harrassed like this is too much right now.
