It is indeed from Pacific Research, a company that is currently conducting a survey to tax professionals for the IRS. A letter had been sent out to inform about the upcoming survey.

I have had two calls from this number with no on talking at the other end and no answer when i call back

So fed up with the caller from the above number.  Hangs up after 1 and a half rings.  If I do get to the phone before it stops ringing, no one answers, so is probably (?) computer gererated.  I hurry to the phone only to have no one on the line.

This nonsense should be stopped!

I am not a tax professional.  How can I tell the caller that if I never am allowed to speak to a human?  Or even a machine!?  When I called back, there was a very rude male voice said, "Leave a message!"

More than that at my house!  Same response George got.

First time for this particular caller:  Rang maybe 3 times and put it back on the hook; I didn't reach the phone in time.  Caller ID says "RENTON WA."  Been on the list forever, but to ditch RCN, I had to give up the number I had for like 20 years and I registered my current number exactly 30 days ago, grrrr.

This number called my phone number listed on the Federal Do Not Call List.

Thank you for the info, I too was able to call and get my phone number removed from their call list. Before they would do so they asked me if I had signed up with T-mobile, Sprint or was I a tax preparer, when I replied "no", then she said, "Okay, I will remove you from the list." It was that simple.

I did not recognize the number, so immediately I sensed whoever it was on the other end is someone that I do not know and does not know me. I picked up the phone and didn't even bother with saying hello. I said, "who is this?", and whoever it was hung up on me. I don't know who or what they wanted, but I wish they would stop it with the annoying, unsolicited calls. I called the number back and all I got was a recording stating "leave a message".  I refuse to take calls or conduct business with someone so deceitful that they can't be bothered with answering their phone or leaving a detailed voice message that at least identifies who or what they are.

These people have been calling everyday and not leaving a message.

When I picked up the phone I could barely hear some sort of recording; then when I said "Hello, Hello??" They hung up on 2nd hello

Have just started getting phone calls from them. Thought it was relatives, cause I do have relatives living in that area. Glad to see that I'm not the only one getting them. They can call as many times they want and I won't answer, now that I know that it's a marketing company.

yo! i just got a call from 425-282-5526. there was no one on the other end. it really ticks me off, i would love it if they stop calling.

This phone number has been calling me. 425-282-5526 Mostly there is no one on the line when I answer. this time someone answered telling me she was calling because of my credit card balances. When I asked her which bank/credit card was she referring to she said well any of them. I told her I didn't owe anything on one of the card (I only have two) and the other had a balance of around $3000 at which time she just hung up on me. What is this all about? She made it sound like I was in some kind of trouble with my cards and she was going to help. How do I stop this sort of calling harrassment?

They've been calling a lot.  Today I picked up and there was no one there.  I called back and the message said "Please leave a message.  Goodbye"  in the same breath.  I called the number somebody posted above 425-271-2300 and she admitted it was one of their numbers and said they would remove me.  I live a 15 minute drive from them and will be visiting them soon if the calls don't stop.

Caller ID gave a phone number and unknown.

I have gotten calls from Pacific Research Center in the past.  Wasn't ever a big deal.  However, this weekend they called my home telephone 11 times.  Once on Friday, 3/18, once on Saturday, 3/19 and NINE times yesterday, 3/20.  Between 3:30pm and 5:50pm they called my house 9 times.  Of course, they couldn't be bothered to leave a message.  I got calls from them at 3:30pm, 4:03pm, 4:18pm, 4:31pm, 4:59pm, 5:11pm, 5:22pm, 5:33pm and 5:50pm.  This is insane!!!  Had I been home to take their calls I would have answered the phone.  What the heck?!?

Thanks for all the great info.  Got my first call from this number.  Do Not Call list  does not work.  
Deleted my fax header, date and time.  Will let the fax machine pick up after 2 rings. These type of callers have  stopped  when they see it's a fax machine.

This phone number, 425-282-5526 keeps calling me and when I say hello, it hangs up.  Please take me off ALL SURVEY AND TELEMARKET CALL LISTS.  I am really tired of getting these phone calls.  It is really annoying.
