Received a call from this number at 4:53 p.m. ET today. It was a recording from "Card Member Services" saying they could lower my interest rate on my credit card (not naming which one). I pressed 1 to speak with a representative, but after 5 rings, it hung up. I called back and it said "Welcome to the Automated Do Not Call Registry..."

Got a call today - didn't answer - called back and got the automated "do not call registry" message - I hung up then.  I'm wondering if this is connected to the harrassing phone calls I keep getting from Sallie Mae about someone I don't know who hasn't paid his student loans....

I keep getting these calls... its annoying... how can i make it stop?

Oh they are getting smart telling you to put your telephone number on a do not call list. Don't do it, delete it.

Its a fishing scam. They are "card Services" and offer to low your rates. Very generic terms. They keep calling under different numbers. I hit one and got hung up on. Then hrs later got a 000 000 0000 number call and told who ever was on the other other end I dont talk to peopel pull scams with caller id and reminded them I am on the dont call list. . I think they were the same people.

I once spoke with them and mentioned the do not call list and was hung up that second. I make reports but they are spoofing the caller id system. So how we wee catch these guys? This needs to stop. After years of doing this how are they not caught? Scamming people and breaking the do not call ist then hacking caller id.

Called this number back after they didn't leave a message and it was some doofus saying "please press 1 to enter yourself on the do not call registry and prevent all calls from our customers"
Here's my question...Does this really work?   Do people actually fall for this?

Got automated voice message about reducing current credit card interest to 6.99%.  Also said to Push 1 to talk with operator.  When I did that, was automatically disconnected.

They call several times me month.  When I dialed back then number they said to leave voicemail to be added to do not call # list.

Caller ID listed the incoming number only, no company.  This was a hang up, left no message.  DO NOT ANSWER THESE CALLS.  When you pick up, the software remembers the day and time.  They use RANDOM CALLING SOFTWARE designed to pinpoint when you will most likely be at home so their telemarketing employees can be more "productive".  They do this many times, over many days, so when the "live" telemarketer does call, you will most likely be home to answer.  Then the scams begin.

This is a Credit Card Debt reduction scam!!!  My number is on DO NOT CALL and they keep calling me.  I picked up the phone and the recording started.  I am going to keep trying to find out who is behind it, but I am sure they will just change their number.  Use Caller ID and do NOT answer...  REPORT THEM!!!

They called my cell phone, but did not respond when I answered.

This is a credit card consolidation scam.  They are calling my cell.

You did not leave a message and I was called just as I walked out of work. No message means illegal contact. thank you for not bothering me if you can not leave a message. Rude persons I am suspicious that this person needs to know my where abouts and my schedule please fine them.

Have gotten several calls from these people...different numbers but same recording....I hope they have good ears because when they call I press one and when they answer I scream at the top of my lungs ..tired of them calling so maybe if I bust a few ear drums they'll stop.  Last night they called at 9 p.m.  Going to get me a bull horn so I don't hurt my throat screaming.  It's one thing to call my home phone but now they are calling my cell.  I've had enough.  FYI  the first time I screamed in one's ear and hung up she called me back and told me, and I quote, "you stupid [***] don't ever call this number again."  Told her she called me.  I didn't call her.

How do we sue them?

15 minutes ago this number called my Michigan cell phone number and did not leave a message. What a pain in the ass.

I am on a DO NOT CALL registry. Why are these telmarketers callin my cell phone?
