Offering lower interest rate. Pressed one to advise we are no call list. Hung up.

Just got a call on 7/6/10 at 4:31 pm. Same recorded message for lowering credit card rates. As usual, I am on the Federal Do Not Call List - which amounts to nothing more than a useless piece of paper much like a protective order. It does nothing to help the  individual, but does make the GOV richer with the $ they can get in fines.
I want the money for the inconvenience of these [***] calling me and for the lack of assistance the Feds give us in these matters!

I got a call from this number, my caller id said international call 0114252821806. Same bull as everyone else is reporting and they had some of my credit card info! I hung up on this guy who I could barely understand...very Indian sounding.  About 1/2 hr. after this number called I received another call from panama city,fl phone number 850-387-0474. This guy tells me that he's a supervisor of member services for my visa account and that because he's not asking for my security code that they can not use my credit card. I know that that is a crock of sh**.Next call is from Boca Raton,Fl. number 561-287-4305. Now it gets good...this scumbag was rude from the minute he started talking, even before I told him to go pound sand. He told me that I would be charged $797 onto my credit card.(their service fee) I laughed and told them no thanks, and he became irate. He called me a loser for even having credit card debt, said that I need to get my head out of my a** and realize when someone is trying to help me out, even went as far as to say that if I don't pay off my debt within 2 months that he will personally contact every creditor possible and put my account into collections! He then hung up on me. Traced the last two numbers to XO Florida, Inc. located in Boca Raton. I called the last number and got a recording that the company name is Financial Consulting Services, Intl. based in Orlando. Here is a number to call and have fun with: Their "customer service" hotline 1888-826-1162. This is a huge scam!! For the people that are actually giving them permission to lower their rates and pay the fee it is not happening!! They are charging the fee and not following through with their end of the deal. I closed all accounts just in case and filed a report with my local police and with my state attorney general. I was told by the police that this is an international credit card scam....beware and tell everyone that you know!

They may be adding extra numbers to their phone number to try to hide their identity since their number is so well known now. They also might be adding digits to get around people's blocking of this phone # .

these scammers just called me july 6 2010 and tried to push some BS about lower credit card rates. how the hell do they get away with this, I am on the don't call list and still they call.

Just got a call from this number today at 11:00am CST. I was at work so nobody answered the call. I'm on the do not call list also, but I also tried to block this using my call blocking service with AT&T and it says that the number cannot be blocked. I've never had that happen. This was the first call I got from the number...

No one on line when I answered.  I hate telemarketers.

I was just called by (425) 484-1806 on my caller ID, from Bellevue WA.  The foreign guy I spoke to said he had my credit card number, was rude, told me he wanted to lower my interest rate.  When I asked him how he got my name, if he already had my number, if he was from my credit card company, he replied, "What's your IQ?" Then he told me they were canceling my visa and declaring bankruptcy and I had a week.  Insulted me and hung up on me.  I call the number back and it's just a recording.  Anyone know how I can get the company information on this place?

Despite being on the "Do not call list", I received a call from 'Credit Services' with the same recording.  

I pressed 1. A male with eastern european/russian accent picked up and wanted credit card information.

I played the part of a moron:
'yes, I want a lower interest rate',
'wait while I go find the card',
'give you the numbers?  That sounds dangerous'
'I see the numbers on the back',
etc, etc.  
I subscribe to the hold them on as long as possible theory.   There is no better way to stop these guys than to slow them down by staying on as long as possible and finally making them hang up!  It makes them distrust the next clueless person and it lowers their salary (which is based on productivity) which in turn lowers interest in taking this type of job.

Promises, promises.  I considered this my final notice and hung up.  Stay tuned. :)

Another "lower your interest rate" spam robocall.  Yawn.

Caller claimed to be calling from Visa & Mastercard services, I had a little trouble understanding because of a strong accent.  I asked what number he had called, and he was reluctant to give it.  

It is a SCAM, that the FTC filed a court case on.

When I answered there was no one there

Kept calling, no message!

I see a common thread here, we are all on the Do Not Call List.  I just registered my new phone number and now I am getting these calls.  I suspect that these people have access to the list and are using it for there own devious purpose.

Received a call from this number this morning at 9:37. Checked the caller ID and it said "International." Did not answer, and have the suspicion that if I check voice mail there won't be any. Will never answer a call from a caller I don't know. From what I've seen said about this number it's really not worth my time to answer the phone.
