We get at least 3 - 4 calls a day from this number and we're on the DO NOT CALL list.  We don't have caller ID so if we don't recognize the number, we let the answering machine pick it up.  They NEVER leave a message.  Now that I know it's the PSBC, I will NEVER donate again.  They never give up and this is what is known as unwanted harrassment.  I also logged a complaint with the DO NOT CALL registry about PSBC harrassment.  

The vampire is calling, AGAIN.

They just called me... It's Christmas Eve. Like, come on guys. I have them blocked  because they wouldn't take me off their call list so a little call rejected thing pops up but it still annoys the heck out of me to see it like six times a day.

PSBC is who this number belongs to but you should  read John Reagan post from Nov 19th 2008. If you call him,  he will take your number off their list.

Thank you for posting this. I get calls like every few hours and i never answer. They never leave me a voicemail so i figured it wasnt important. Im glad to now know who it is that keeps calling. Its super annoying.

It's Bloodworks (formerly Puget Sound Blood Centers) calling to remind me to donate again as I just reached the date I'm eligible to donate again.
I do some volunteer work with them, and I have previously organized a blood drive for a friend who was hit on his motorcycle by a drunk driver going the wrong way on the freeway. So I understand maybe more than others how important it is to get folks to donate. But I agree- the multiple, agressive calling is not a good tactic. I do wish they'd just leave a message.
In their defense- volunteers do all the calling, not a robot. So real people put in real hours for free and risk being yelled at because they feel passionately about the issue.

**TIP: if you schedule your next appointment right after your donation, they won't call you incessantly.**

If you CALL them (not email) and request NOT to be called, they will honor that request. You can also request  to get your donation reminders via email instead of by phone.

Whatever the case... PLEASE don't punish people that need blood/plasma/platelets because you're annoyed by the calls. PLEASE donate. Continue to donate anytime you can. The life you save may be your own... or that of someone you love.

I am not punishing anyone I ham being punished by THEM. How did this get turned around? i just did a quik google and Bloomberg has the stats on the CEO pay. I will NEVER donate to these people.

I've stopped giving blood to them because of the harassment, it continues after I've repeatedly requested no more calls.  Upon investigation I now understand the marketing push, they get the blood for free and resell at huge margins.  Don't be fooled by 'non-profit' status, it only means they pay lower taxes and don't have to give money to shareholders, not that they are pure of heart.  Remember that the NFL operated as a non-profit until recently.

Non-profit just means more money for the CEO and Execs since they pay less tax and don't have to compensate shareholders.

They have called me 4 times since 1/16/16. I haven't answered - yet they still call me. I will never donate blood - SO LEAVE ME ALONE!

I understand donating blood is important and I will donate when I can. But please quit calling me. Multiplie times a day until 8:30 at night is unacceptable, especially when trying to get kids down for bed.

I live in Oregon and happen to be property owner with 5 siblings.  I do not know where Puget Sound blood collection got my Oregon phone number.  I am unlisted, non-published and on the do not call registry. I donate in Oregon only!

So annoying.  I have added this number to our blocked calls list.  It is very inconsiderate to call multiple times in a day and not leave a message.  Doing more harm than good because it discourages me from supporting this organization.

Just tell them to remove you from their phone list. they need blood and phone calls to people who are on their list is the best way to reach for donations. On another note when I was working in law enforcement many years ago I watched a 17 yr old girl who had been in a auto acdident bleed to death because they couldn't a med flight with blood in fast enough for her.  The Hospital had been slammed that week and was in short supply. So I for one appreciate the phone call reminders

Just called and asked them to remove me from their list. I donate when my employer holds blood drives, and it's a vital and valid cause -- but no need to get daily calls. The nice gentleman on the phone updated my account on the spot and told me my record will update overnight -- hopefully that does the trick. If not, I'll just block the number.
