My 14 year old son has been scammed and I now have a bill for 391 +VAT, I have reported this to the fraud line and the local police and they are looking into this. My son was sent an email from a friend on facebook who asked him for his phone number, which he sent. This friends account had been hacked although he did not know this so he then received another email of the so called friend telling him he needed to reply to the texts and send the details to him or else he would be billed for hundreds on his mobile bill and his account hacked. He obviously panicked and replied. I now have a dispute with the bill company as quite rightly they are saying he did have texts from gangparadise however he was not receiving/making texts knowing the real scam and he did not play this game. I hope you have someway of tracing these scammers if you are given a mobile number surely you can link them? I would like to know how i can reclaim my charges? I have contacted Text nation who advised me it was gangs paradise who billed them
