As of May 2009, cell phone numbers went public.  To avoid receiving telemarketer calls, you must call the following number, 1-888-382-1222, from the phone that you want number you want to stop receiving telemarketing calls.  After 31 days, if you continue to receive telemarketing calls, you may file a complaint with the FCC.

I got a call from +443-390-1400. Did not answer it. Was washin my dog. No message was left. My phone is a prepaid phone. Got it for family use only dont know how they got my number.

2:27PM CST Mesquite, TX +4433901400, no news of voicemail due to full mailbox. Last time I got an international phone call, it has + in front of it, so maybe it's international from the United States?

I started getting the calls a few weeks ago from 443 390 1500 and 443 466 09500, I registered with the do not call registry-but it's not working

I wish they would stop calling.

This stupid freaking black broad had called me like 6 or 7 times. [***] the [***] has even emailed me, where she got the information, I have no idea. She claims that she is from Matrix Media and that she wants to help me start my own business. It took her less than 1 minute to tell me what "her intent" was and to ask form my credit card number. I told her that I'm on a "do not call list" and that included her scandolous company and that if she kept calling me I would take legal action.

443.390.1400 keeps calling me!!! who is this and what do you want?

This is NOT a call from area code 443 -- it's an international call from country code +44 (United Kingdom, aka England).  The plus sign is significant, not some random character.

Please don't call the poor schmucks listed above who live in Connecticut, Maryland or wherever.  Please check your facts before retaliating.

I seen the number on my caller ID I just don't answer when prople I don't know call but it still doesn't stop them! 2 times today!

This is the second time I received a call from this number and they keep asking for my grandson who is a minor.  I asked to speak to a supervisor and they hung up.  I, too, experienced a busy signal when I called that number.

Everyone, here's the weird thing about the +4433901400 number: I got call from that exact # on July 8, 2009 at 3:56 PM. I KNOW this is a U.K. #, because of how it displays. I have never received bizarre calls on this cell phone, and I have 3 with similar #'s. But I'm going thru a divorce with my husband whos hiding in the U.K., and he calls on my OTHER cell phone or home phone and it displays as +441 (with 9 numbers following), or +447 (with 9 numbers following). I called him recently from the above-mentioned phone to see if he would answer. No answer. But 2 days later, I got the +433901400 call, AS WELL AS calls from 202-870-5013 (Career Institute, area code in Washington D.C.) and +0000000000, and 303-973-1805 (Career Institute-area code in Colorado), and about 10 mins ago I got a PRIVATE CALL from a man who was OBVIOUSLY NOT IN OR FROM THIS COUNTRY (the static & his english-sounding accent were obvious). I answered & a man asked for "David." I asked where he was from & he got annoyed quickly & asked for "David" 4 more times. I kept asking where HE WAS, and he said, "Rockford, Illinois."  Tell ya what, that was a scripted city & state, because if you're from the U.S., you say a business, a state or state your reason for calling. NEVER BEFORE have I received bizarre calls like this til I called my stupid husband in Canada & in the U.K.! Does anyone on this blog talk to people in europe area as well? If so, maybe when we call there, our #'s are picked up by THEM, and used for THEIR purposes?? Next call, I'm answering & going to say I'm David. Then we'll see what THEY SAY!  But, NO ONE IS CALLING FROM A 443 AREA CODE PEOPLE. Look how it displays on your phone, and how it's broken up (and on a cell usually starts with a + sign). The numbers all run together.  ALSO, everyone who blogs here should put THEIR area codes on this blog to see if there's a common pattern. I'm in Houston, TX, but have a Los Angeles area code (818). Keep writing, and answer your phones if you can! If they ask for a man, act like a man & ask what they need. Same if they ask for a woman. Get them to state their business! Thanx. JLE

I have asked them repeatedly to stop calling me and remove my name from their call list but they still call me up to 15x times a day. This is my cell phone they are calling. They ignore my wish for them to stop calling

They need to stop calling

This number has been calling every 30 to 45 minutes just today alone. Last call I told them that I was dead.

all day today i have this number calling me i pick up and they hang up what the hell they call for and they dont talk.. i will like for it to stop right away ....

I did not answer call.  I received another call from a different number it was basicly the same thing.  What is going on here????
