They scam you by sendinmg a "bank check" for more than the amount owed.  They then ask you to send the overage to different people.  It takes about three weeks for the check to bounce.

This just happened to us. Same exact story but different names. This time it was Angela Zoe. Reported it to craigslist.

ahaha She THREATENED us with the FBI so we called the FBI and asked if her pattern was suspicious. Dan when that happened to you, she was already planning on moving to our house too.

She did the exact same thing to us. Actually the guy that's suppose to move her things here started harrassing us for the money. I told my in laws and husband it was a scam from the start because someone in her "profession" should be able to write almost perfectly because her job requires a lot of writing. They still went on and we got the same pattern, "husband" talked to my in laws with a british/indian accent and i told them no, that's a latin american accent trying to be british (I won't name where b.c I don't want to insult anyone but I know the accent because my friends who came from there have the exact same one and as you all may know different places in latin america have different accents).

her writing got progressively worse as well, and when we kept saying no we got to wait til the check cleared that's when she threatened us.

don't fall for this guys! be careful!

This is a scam.

I rent a room at my home and over the past few years I have received this or very similar messages. I even had a correspondence back and forth with one over several emails, but they always sounded 'fishy' to me, so never went forward.  This time I decided to google the name and the workplace and low and behold, I got to this site.  Is there anyplace we can report this scam to to try and get these criminals put out of business and maybe in jail?
