Called bank, wire went through.  Unable to pull back international wires.  My GOD how could I fall something like this!  How did they know who my friends are?  What shall I do

I received the same email this morning. I knew right off it was a scam. Using an old email message she sent earlier I contacted my friend whose account was hacked. She answered back that she has lost her entire contact list, along with all old email messages. I do wonder how they hackinto these email accts. Through facebook, maybe?

This is the message I received. It's not the first time. Yes, they seem to really check up on all the emails in the computer, because last time the hacker knew what the supposed email sender's occupation was and he know mine as well - made it sound like he was at a symposium that I might have attended as well. And when I wrote to the person in question - without hitting the reply button - I got a message right back saying, yes it was him. So it doesn't do any good to warn the victim per Email. The hacker can intercept.

It’s me, -----. I don't mean to inconvenience you right now, I made a trip to Scotland and I misplaced my luggage that contains my passport and credit cards. I know this may sound odd but it all happened very fast. I need to get a new passport and a ticket, but I'm short of funds. Please, can you lend me some funds to get a ticket? I will pay you back.

My yahoo account was hacked and they want friends/address book to call his number. SCAM

They have has asked money from my friends and contacts, in my name, via e-mail, and had left this number for contact.Here is a part of the message I've got: 'Please can you lend me $900? I'll pay back, as soon as I return home. Let me know so that I can forward my information to send funds via western union money transfer. You can reach me by email or drop a message via the hotel desk-Phone: +447045733705, Scottish Hotel.'

My e-mail has been hacked and this number is asking for money.

This is a scammer script, been around for years. Same scam message as others have posted, nearly word for word. Scammer using the name Toby Bristol.
