- gardenpath replies to PERPETUAL PMSI kept the "windows" guy on the phone for 45 minutes messing with him. By the time I got thru acting like I did not know how to turn on my computer or find a browser he was ready to pull his hair out!!!When I had a land line and the time to waste, I always answered calls, even ones for political surveys or obvious scams. I just played with them, acting like I didn't understand or ask them to repeat things multiple times, even going so far as to give them fake answers for their surveys-especially the political ones. Tell them there are 22 family members living in one house, all over the age of 18 and all will be voting. When they ask education level always say PHD, when they ask salary always say 2.5 mil annually. Some callers catch on quicker than others, but most of the time, I can waste their time with my phony answers and keep them from calling someone else for 45 minutes or so. I get a big chuckle out of it and hope they are so annoyed that they remove my number from any future calls. Tee Hee rather than getting mad, I think I am getting even...........
- Fnu LnuThe best way to get Congress to do something about this would be to call your current member of Congress at both there their local and Washington offices. Tell them you are being harassed by phone scams and that you need their help. After they tell you that this is managed by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), tell them thank you and hang up. Every time you get a scam call, you again call Congress and tell them the same thing. When they tell you that they already told you that this is managed by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), you tell them that the call got you so upset that you forgot what they had said before. Call them every time you get one of these calls. After they get hundreds or even thousands of callers each calling them several times, maybe they will do something about it. Information for members of Congress can be found on the left hand side about halfway down the page at https://www.congress.gov//
- LandersAsk to answer yes or no. Did you vote in last election? They record your response and then order stuff you have to pay for.

- KimI got the same call asking if I voted in the last election, and I said yes, then realized that is a scam. Really what can they do with that "yes". I still don't understand how anyone can do anything with that. I did put my cell and home number on the "do not call" list. Can anyone explain if this person doesn't have any other info on me how can they put it to use.

- jelReceived 3rd call yesterday, got their explanation of purpose and request for $25 donation, using credit or debit card (I refused, then recommended on-line check, I refused), Pretty sure it was a robot as he kept talking over me to repeat his explanations. I told him that we already had the right and ability to make our reps responsible, as was evidenced by the attendance at town meetings this year. Had nerve to ask me if I would promise to use pledge letter, I refused. Call was ended by caller at this time.
I'm very sure that this is a robot call attempting to scam us.- Caller: Informed Electorate
