this co has not only harassed my daughter re her bank of america acct they have harassed her neighbors as well. they have shared her confidential info with numerous people and insulted those people with crude and rude remarks.  the fdcpa states that a creditor cannot contact neighbors more than 1 time and then they can't share personal info....violations 1 and 2. it also says they can't harass or misrepresent their intentions....violations 3 and 4.  the list goes on and on, but the above mentioned violations are more than enough to file a complaint against them as well as bank of america which is exactly what we intend to do!

This link is great. I had the same experience. It is a credit agency.  Never say you will pay anything.  Do not be a nice guy and say 'maybe I will pay' anything.  ONCE THEY GET THAT ON A TAPE RECORDER, YOUR THREE YEAR LIMIT OF TIME WILL START ALL OVER AGAIN.;  IF NO ONE TAKES YOU TO COURT WITHIN 6MO, THEY CAN NOT ATTACH A LIEN ON YOUR HOUSE(if they were a workman fixing it),  AND IF THE PAYMENT GOES BEYOND 3 YEARS WITH OUT BEING PAID, THEY LOOSE THE ABILITY TO COLLECT ANYTHING.  IF YOU OWE MONEY FOR A PURCHASE PAY IT OFF, BUT IF ITS NOT OWED  or you have a dispute TAKE HEED --YOU DO NOT OWE A THING. (unless you take it to court with a jury trial).  Most Juries will decide in your favor because of all the reasons they've experienced with the above posts. You have friends :)

has anyone received these phone calls after someone close passes away? just a thought, because this has happened to me 3 time in the past 2 years

I received a call from this # 3 times telling me that they are going yo sue my wife. This is my cell phone. How in H--- did they my number?

I get daily calls from these bozos; never answer and neither should you!

If you owe, deal DIRECTLY with the bank or whomever you owe; they operate within the law and often will work out terms for repayment, sometimes even reducing the amount.

These collection agencies are true bottom feeders, especially these days with so many of us over a barrel. They lie, harass, and even inflate the amount owed for their own profit. Most operate outside the laws written to protect us.

Got 2 calls from them today. I screen all of my calls and when it's something I don't recognize I don't pick up. 2nd call received some guy left a message saying his 'client' needed some assistance in retrieving monies owed to them. I know I owe money. I wont deny that. I suggest to you all, just like the person above, that when you pay back your debts, go directly to the source and pay them. NOT the people who threaten you with 'legal action' or other kinds of discipline. They are all empty threats unless you owe some ridiculous amount of money (a few thousand at least). Then and only then is it worth their while to actually take you to court.

I am used to the calls since I am in debt to capital one thanks to my EX who took the card and maxed it out, then dumped me and took off... at this time I had double wrist surgeries and was unable to work... I got collector call after collector call and they didn't care they just kept harassing me to pay. this is one of the first calls from this number though. so I answered and when they could not pronounce my last name I told them they had the wrong number, that people keep calling for this person and this is not their number... he then asked if I knew the person and I told him no. then he said ok bye and hung up. as soon as I start getting my back pay checks for being a full time nanny I'm paying it all off.... HOPEFULLY SOON SO THE MADNESS CAN STOP. good luck everyone in the new year!

We or I receivied a call from this number stateing that "there was an incident that occuried Aug. 04  2008" the message left a phone number and stated that supeons will be issuied on my wife and my job sites. I called my wife and accused her of some accident she hadn't told me about. Well, come to find out, it was a debt collector from this number.We are not talking about a large some of money, and this is how C.I collects debt?

Yup Confused,These company is a Shaddy agency and will lie and threaten you and think you will pay being scared.Dont give them a dime They left me horrible messages and never did a thing, after 3 months of calling all the time they gave up and sold the debt to another CA.Try to settle with the original creditor if possible to pay. Dont give these guys a cent.

I have received calls from 500-00-0000 several times. I have tried to call it back and am told it is not a valid number, yet when I answered the call, it was from an individual working for Creditor Exchange. Thye are a Collection Agency for Bank of America Credit Card division. They are rude, ill mannered and wont let you get a word in edgewise. They also will threaten you with legal action etc....They are idiots and big mouths. I hung up on them and do not answere their calls anymore and I ignore their Voicemails. I sent a letter telling them to communicate with me via written methods only.

I have been receiving calls from this number, two men and one woman. I let the phone go to voicemail...their messages are very garbled, mumbled and hard to understand but they all refer to some case number and going to court. I have recently settled a debt directly with Bank of America, not a collection agency, so it sounds like the people at 500-000-0000 are working really hard to rip me off!

Don't answer your phone, do not speak with these frauds.

They called my office number today looking for the people that used to have this number. If it is not you they are looking for, simply call them back and let them know. I get calls for the previous owner of my number all the time and I always call the creditors back or if I can answer the phone, let them know the situation and I have had no issues so far. The lady I spoke with today was pleasent. Good luck.

. yeah. just got a call thiss morning. sayin' they want our numbers as in credit card, social number, blah blah. even though they said they have them. it was really stupid. then they threten to take our house away r something they always all in the morning too. Then they started yelling and throwing everything out of porportion, after my mom said; "NO I'm not doing anything over the phone." They ended the call a little after.

I got several calls from this number.  It belongs to Creditors Interchange.  They threaten lawsuit several times and I have yet to get sued by them.  I have all their calls on my answering machine breaking the law and will do everything in my power to stop these scumbags after I get my bankruptcy.  My family also has come on bad times and we are loosing everything.  Tried to explain this to another collection agency but they just laughed at me.  Don't answer their calls, they are hurting just like the rest of us and will do or any anything to keep their jobs.

I received a call via my cell from 15000000000. Of course I didn't answer it! A message was left but all you could hear was background noise and like a lot telemarketing voices.  Immediately a call came through my job for me from CNI or CIN-Steve G____. It went into my voice mail and the gentleman stated that I needed to call him back immediately regarding a paticular file #.  I havre no idea who these people are. I know that a lot of identity theft goes on like this and refuse to call back.  I have had no dealings with Bank of America since back in the early 90s and so can't possibly understand who would be calling on their behalf.  Thanks for all your commits because this is probably a scam of some type that has gotten limited information on us and hoping to get enough to do some damage. I wish the do not list registry for cell phones actually worked! As we can see they do not! If they keep harassing me at work I will get my supervisor involved as well.
