Oregon may or may not even have jurisdiction because your caller may have never been in Tillamook or Portland or anyplace else in Oregon. At one time, you could not tell the origin of a call because of spoofing (faking the caller id). These days "telephone companies" offer the roboters choices of thousands of real "local" "virtual" numbers using technologies connected to voice over internet (VoIP) services. Because the way a legitimate technology is abused, call it "expanded spoofing" or "super spoofing." The generic term is called Direct Inward Dialing (DID). One use is for a family or business to have so-called local numbers across the country or world, as are needed or convenient. Local family members or local customers call the local number and pay the local cost of the call, while the call itself is transparently forwarded via internet VoIP to anywhere in the world, at very low local cost. Think of it as a very cheap worldwide WATTS (800) number. My point is two-fold: there are businesses operating as telecommunications providers that essentially fake where a call comes from; and because of DID VoIP technologies, you have NO IDEA where the call originates. Take a look at the voip.ms website for a business that provides the phone services and the virtual phone numbers to the jerks that incessantly ring our phones. Maybe voip.ms is the provider for 503-457-1003?

My husband and I both have gotten repeated calls from this number, but the recorded voice (sounds American, female), just says if we want to be removed from their calling list, hit "1", which we've done.  But they keep calling.  Today, it was a flippin' Saturday at about 7 a.m.!  They almost always call early in the morning.  It'm going to look harder using their area code and see if I can't find out who they are. We haven't been told the name of their 'organization', only that they are a marketing company.

I keep getting calls from these telemarketers and once I block them on my verizon phone, they call from a different number. Ugh, I want to kill these pathetic people.

I did a reverse phone search on this guy and paid 99 cents for a phone report.  If he calls again, ask him to talk to Tammy Lynn.  That's the first name of the person who owns that phone.  Also ask him how the weather is in Saint Maries, Idaho since the owner apparently lives there.  I had Verizon block any calls to my wife's phone, but I almost wish that I hadn't, since I would like to record this pervert.  Either way, I think that the Feds are going to get him pretty soon.

They call me at least 6 times a day and when I answer they hang up.

Called my Cell 7 times this morning. I finally answered the seventh time, Caller stated that he was with a small security company, (Didn't give a company name). Wanted to know if I would like a Free home security system in exchange for letting them put a small sign in my yard as advertisement. Scam!!!

I got a call from this number,and called it back. But the recording couldn't varify my number because it is a private #. But then how did they get it in the first place? And yes,the voice on  recording was broken english. I hope I don't hear from them again! will contact phone company,and that of Federal Govn.

I received several calls today on my cell phone June 18,2012. I have registered a complaint with this number on the "National do not call registry". You should all do the same. I do not answer the calls.

I've gotten calls from this very same number, about 3-4 times per week.  I'm at work when they call so I can't answer.  Besides the fact that I know no one in Oregon, IF that's where they're calling from. If it was so important, they'd leave a message.  I do have an idea though, that it may be a company that uses various excuses to just verify that the number is actually belonging to someone, so they can, in turn, sell it to another company for marketing purposes.  That's why I suggest that you not even answer.  Maybe if they don't have lots of people answering, they won't get enough owners of the numbers to sell.   Just a thought.

Called at 6:05 AM, PDT......Not cool as I need my beauty sleep.  What a bunch of idiots.....I like the whistle idea and will try it.

I receive calls but no one speaks from this number.

I have asked repeatedly for them to stop calling me from this number in regard to a home security system.  Yet ~  I still receive approx. 8 to 10 calls EVERY DAY from this number.
I have spoken with a person named "James" and requested numerous times for them to stop calling.. I have called back and pressed 1 to be taken off the call list.  Still receiving calls continuously!  This is nothing but harassment !
