CREDIT CARD SCAM, . DO NOT GIVE THEM any real info.
Ask them for their address and phone #, and caller ID. then listen to them LIE. Use the followqing procedure on all telemarketers;
Listen a moment ask them to hold while you get your credit card, then just leave them on hold.perhaps come back and say you are still looking, ect.  

They do not represent your credit card co. e-mail a complaint to the state of Oregon (source of 503 calls)  at the following,   consumer.hotline@state.or.us      
then call FCC888-225-5322 for their e=mail complaint. (takes too long to file it over the phone-belive me)

Answered call and got a broken message about lower credit card rates. Thanks to all for some great ideas about handling telemarketers in general. Will try some of them for the calls that will surely come in the future.

I am on the National Do Not Call List.  Why and how can they keep calling?  Are they above the law?

A scam to lower your credit card don't believe them

"lower interest" is a criminal conspiracy, lying to you that they have more authority to lower your credit card interest rate than you do, if you pay them. report them to the FTC at donotcall.gov. It is illegal to conduct  automatic "robo calls" as they do.
Some people play along with them and when they ask for your personal information, simply say I've got to get it, or there's the doorbell and just lay the phone down. Sometimes after a few minutes of no conversation you can pick up and say I'll call you back, what is "your home phone number".

Get several calls a week even though I have asked that they stop calling. Whoever it is, they have more than one phone. 503-902-8480 is another. The calls are coming from Salem, Oregon.
