computer left message claiming to be final notice before they sue me. SCAM!!!

Got the same type  call as the others.  When I called back.  No menu selection menu or pre records of office and hours etc.

Just a guy saying hello...IRS.  Lol

Knew right then and there it was a scam attempt.

Always cross reference and check with your  local and federal  gov offices and review numbers like this one  prior to calling back and
save a headache and your pocketbook.

See why these scams are effective.  It does put a scare into some people initially.  It threw me off at first as I always pay my taxes full and on time.

Was told IRS WAS SUING ME and to call immediately.

Why is this scam being allowed, surely the number can be traced. Scams are illegal,right?

Yep, it's a scam. I just got a call from them, too on 5-26-15. "Ofc. Mary White" with an Indian accent "badge #IRM 4202". She said all of the same information to me, then asked if I "willfully or intentionally committed this crime." At that point, I asked her if this was a hoax. The line went silent. She repeated her question. I repeated mine. Then I asked her if this was a scam and did she think I was just going to whip out my credit card to pay almost $8K in fees? At that point, she hung up.

I also recieved the same call and went to IRS office today (waited four hours to be seen) and they stated it was not a call from them.

Just got this call. The robotic voice stated that "You are being sued by the IRS,this is the final notice. Please cal (509)392-6377 Immediately. The call is coming from the State of Washington.

Called about 7:15am 5/27/2015.  Recorded message claiming to be IRS filing a lawsuit against us.

I answered my phone this morning at 10:30 a.m., 5/27/2015 and received this recorded announcement "This is IRS and this is the last attempt to contact you...we are filing a lawsuit against you...call 509-392-6377 immediately" (paraphrasing the message).  This message disturbed me initially because I do owe IRS, however, I've never been a fool to fall for scams...IRS always contact me via CERTIFIED MAIL!   Out of curiosity, I called the phone number and a foreigner answered "IRS" and I slammed the phone in his ear!  We ALL know we are never fortunate enough to reach a human on first try...how do these rogues get away with this scam?!?

Fraudulent call trying to tell you IRS is after you but they will fix it for $$.

I received this message. I called back and the agent said that he was sending a police officer to my house to execute an arrest warrant. He started screaming at me. He hung up on me 3 times. Supposedly he put a supervisor on the phone. He yelled some more. He told me that he could not give me information and could not give not help me unless I gave a payment to close acct. Both men had Indian accents

got the robo call, called them back at the 509 and said the IRS kicked in the door and  took the flat screen TV and the XBox and told my wife to call the same number.

I asked how much to get my stuff back and he said to send $500 mail gram and he would call the confiscation team.

I lost it and hung up the phone.

Had a message that sounded pre-recorded saying this was the IRS and that they were filing a law suit against me. To call them back at 509-392-6377. I'm pretty sure that if the IRS had an issue with me they wouldn't robo call me, it would be a real live person with a 800 IRS phone # with an extention to reach them or well.....I guess I'd get served papers. I looked up the number and found your site so take comfort that I'm not the only one who has almost been tricked. most people would tend to get scared by them throwing around the words IRS, lawsuit, etc.

Called and left automated message that a law suit has filed against me and I needed to call immediately .

Called was ID's as Richland 509-392-6377.  Said they've been trying to reach me and the IRS is filing a lawsuit.

Got a phone call from this number saying is from the IRS suing us.

Received a call from number 509-392-6377.  A recording stating the IRS is filing a lawsuit against me.
I called the number and the guy couldn't speak English. I told him hed better verify this what not a scam. Im going online to IRS customer service and he hung up. I have caller ID and nothing came up, No IRS.  SCAM.

Got the same call today. Had already heard about this scam.
