I got a call from 512-495-9027 that was an automated message saying that the IRS was filing a lawsuit against me. They said they had been trying to reach me for some time. They told me to call another number that was not a number within the US. I didn't. I did try calling the number they called me with and the number was no longer in service. This is obviously a scam. The IRS would send you written notification and wouldn't be this shady.

So this scam has definitely evolved over the years.  In 2011 it was a call from someone at Microsoft claiming that you had a virus on your computer and that they needed to remotely access your computer to help get rid of the virus.  Now (2014) the scammers claim they are from the IRS and that there is a lawsuit against you.  This is a absolute joke.  I hope Anonymous or some hacking group out there is looking at these posts and goes after these scammers exposing them for the absolute scum they are.  The fact that there are this many posts on here regarding this scam and this number only speaks volumes for the people that are actually fallen victim to these SOBs.  

Call at 8:30 a.m. stating, "This is Canadian Pharmacy."  Asked to confirm my name. I hung up. Won't answer a call from Austin, TX again.

I received a call from this no. I do not recognise this no. Did not answer. I live in England.

This number left me a message that said they are the IRS and have been trying to reach me because they are filing a law suite against me. They are getting desparate!

On caller ID it said Austin TX. I didn't answer but they did leave a message. It was an automated voice that said the IRS was going to sue me and I needed to call 202-506-9644 immediately.

Message on voicemail. "Final  notice from IRS of lawsuit . Call 202-506-9233"
I reported this call to the IRS.

I got a call from this number.  I let it go to voicemail.  The message said they were from I.R.S.  Then they repeated, they were from the Internal Revenue Service and they were taking "final" action against me and that I should call 209-243-6009 to get everything straightened out.  Of course, I did not call since I know that I don't owe the IRS.  Beware of this number!

Got a call today, said they were calling from my political party? What ??? Now on my block list!
