                          Pete Arnold:  A Golfing Story for the Ages

The sport of golf is a sport where great feats grow in legendary status with the passage of time
and for one Austin native his recent 4 hole stretch is a stretch of golf even Austin legendary figures like Ben Crenshaw and Tom Kite would be hard to top.  "The amazing things that happen in this goofy game when a little talent is combined with a lot of luck," said the 38 year old Arnold.

Pete Arnold has been active in the sport of golf since 8 years of age growing up in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.  "Cajun born and bred and after a fairly decent high school I decided to walk on at LSU and quickly found that out my talent level was nowhere what was needed to play for the Tigers and quickly transferred to a small NAIA school where I played golf with limited success but graduated with a degree in marketing and was fortunate to land a job in Dallas with a major advertising agency thru contacts I had made while playing college golf. The 4 hole stretch by Arnold resulted in a front nine score of 31 and will be indeed be part of a story that grows with age.  "How many folks can say they shot a 71 and played a 4 hole stretch 7 under par? Well I will be able to say that for the rest of my life as the 40 I shot on the back nine now looks better and better as I have a story I can always tell for the rest of my life that will be hard to top by any golfer."
