OK, so it's Macys/Bloomingdales, but here's the kicker. I don't have an account with them, but my wife does, and she is late on payments. The calls are coming into my cell phone, which has no connection to her account, and is not even in my name, but in a company name. How the heck did they get MY cell number? The farging bastiches! Just because of the nuisance, we aren't going to pay them one red cent or rupee. So there!!

Get caller rejection service from your phone company and block these fools.

I paid off my Macy's account and owed nothing more. I even closed the account and they still tell me that i owe them money

Calls several times a day-all week, 7 days, but never leaves message on answering machine. I don't know if there is some law or something but others like GE DO leave a message. It is very frustrating and annoying!
Does anyone know if debt collectors are required to leave a message AND if the are supposed to call Monday thru Friday and only from 8AM to 9PM? I can not seem to get clarification on this. Also, if it is a business is it not REQUIRED that their name show up on caller ID? Curious to know these answers. TIA

literally three or four times a day from this numbers and the call usually ends by the time i pick it up and crash into the car in front me.

This is my cell phone that I only use for emergency's............It is very rude to keep calling.........using MY time!!!

I have been receiving calls from this number 1-2 times per day for the past couple of days.  It is a SCAM.  They claim to be calling from Macy's/Bloomingdale's so they can get a hold of your personal information, including your Social Security number.  I just filed an online complaint with the FCC.  I suggest that everyone else who gets calls from this number should do the same.

How can these idiot's be stopped.  You get a call and no one is there.  You call back and there closed.

Just got the call two days ago, under unknown name. Today they called me 6 times within 3-4hours!

so i was late on my macys bill this month, i got an online statement saying that my next payment is due Sept 3rd, and that is when i am planning to pay, but these people keep calling me 5 times a day!!! i already told them that i received the bill and will pay on the next due date, but they keep calling and harassing me! this is the first time macys has ever done this to me... i've had a macys credit card for almost 10 years and yes i have been late a few times in the past, but i never received a call from them.  if they want their payment immediately it should've said so on the statement... why give me til next month yet call 5 times a day?!

to find out that the Macys has been the stalker caller bugging me 7 times this week is classic. ring once. hang up. no message. 7 hang ups. last one was at 8.45pm tonight. their online payment system doesn't work. i've tried several times over the last 2 months (since i have made my one purchase on the card) to pay the stupid thing. it can't verify my identity even with my online account. quickpay my ass. i called them (call center in India) yesterday & tried to pay. Then they want to charge me $14?!!! Then the call center guy drops my call after it took 6 or 7 prompts to finally get to a person. I TOLD HIM I WANTED TO PAY THE WHOLE THING & CLOSE THE ACCOUNT. Stalk me & hang up. I try to pay & they hang up on me. I HATE MACYS! I WILL NEVER EVER EVER SHOP THERE AGAIN. THEY ARE PATHETIC.

They called me but did not leave a message - there was a hang up. They called a new mobile phone I just got that is under a family plan - so the listing is not in my name but another family member who opened the family plan a few years ago.  I have not had a Macy's account in 20 years. No one on the family plan has a Macy's account either. Must be a scam. Id on phone said the call was from Ohio and the number was 1-513-754-9822.

NUMBERS LIKE THESE THAT TELL U TO HOLD FOR THE NEXT REP...OR WHEN U CALL THEY TELL U TO LEAVE A MSG ARE ALL VOICE PHISHING...THESE ARE REALLY PEOPLE WHO WANT UR IDENTITY  OR JUST MONEY THEY TELL U THAT U HAVE A DEBT OF SOME SORT OR THIS CALL IS REGARDING ABOUT A UNPAID TICKET OF SOME SORT...OR THERES A REALLY POPULAR ONE "HI THIS IS CHASE BANK"BUT CHASE IS NOT AFFILIATED WITH THEM EITHER.. ANYTHING RELATED LIKE THESE CALLS DO NOT GIVE OUT YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION!!!!!!!!!

All you have to do is say you have the wrong number and they will stop. If you know you haven't made a payment and they are blowing up your phone, go to your account summary online and change your contact number!

It is Macy's.  I was late on a payment to the Visa portion of my account. I hadf picked up the phone the first time they called. They knew what I owed on the whole account.  They had gave me an 800 number for Macy's collection department to call about getting on a "Universal Plan".  I told them I would think about it. They said they would have someone call me at the end of July 2009.  I remembered the "513" area code.  Lo and behold, at the end of July the phone calls started from 9 am in the morning until 9 or 10 pm at night (even the weekends). I knew it was them. I did not pick up the phone. They don't leave messages. This was going on for 3 weeks. Yesterday I did work out an interest free payment plan to pay off the balance with the earlier phone number they gave me. I noticed last night that "513" number tried to call me. I hope that they figure out that there is no need to call me anymore!

For those of you who are getting the calls and don't have an account with Macy's. it is possible that they have wrong numbers on file.  You might want to tell the 513 caller they have the wrong phone number. They probably have the account number for the person owing the money and can contact the appropriate Macy's person to correct the system.

I like to call these people the "henchman" for Macy's!!

Not even behind on the payment adn they want to know if I've made my payment and what the account number is and that they are going to charge the account. I get calls twice a day - so why aren't they out of business?

hmm, so it is Macy's. but i closed down my account a few year ago.
so I checked it again just in case. and it says closed account.
I have no idea why i keep getting this call.
and they don't even know my name! they always come up with a new name.
it's been almost 3 weeks now.
is there any place where I can report this?
i changed ring bell on this number so i don't get bothered that much but
still i get a minimum of 5 missed calls from this number!!

I got a call from this phone number and I called back, but machine answer as something like ' wait ,,, someone will with you shortly ... wait...

I got a call from them but it was a real person. I asked who was calling even though it was for my mom, and she said "I am Mrs. Harrison". Mrs. Harrison? lol... then When I wrote down the call back number (1-800-545-1256) I asked what she was calling about, and she said it was about a "personal business matter". Weirdest thing in my life.
