They call about twice and day and don't leave a message.  I didn't pick up because I didn't recognize the number.  But THANKFULLY I found this site!
I agree with you all that thinks this is a scam!

I hope you will find this useful. After several calls from this number finally someone answered when I said hello. It is Macy's. I have 3 accounts with them, my husband and I each have our own account and we have a joint account. ( we did this because Macy's personnel suggested it for a special deal opening a new account) I pay all of our bills online and for Macy's they use my checkfree so when I was notifed of a bill I paid. The problem was I didn't register the new account so my payment went to one of the other ones. It took 4 phone calls (including talking to a supervisor who was incompetent at best) who took the time to look at our other accounts and find that the wrong account had been credited. She asked me to hold for just a few minutes after reassuring me and offering several apologies for incompetence to fix the problem. I went right to checkfree and added this account so I shouldn't have this problem again. If you try to call back the 513 number you don't get anyone. The number to call back is: 1-800-947-6229. Hopefully this info will be useful to you so that you don't have to go through what I did~

Answered thinking it waqs a friend but a woman asked for someone who isn't me. I remembered the same call came a few months ago as a voicemail.  A woman asked for the same person, then a man got on saying there was an important business matter to discuss with American Express and to call a number.  I am so pissed that these [***] have my number!!! I have no credit issues, overdue bills or even an AmEx.  IT IS A SCAMMMMMMMMM!!!!
I told her to "please loss my number or I would call the police".
Businesses have better practices than this shady crap.

NEVER GIVE OUT YOUR PRIVATE INFORMATION TO SOMEONE WHO CALLS YOU!!!!

three calls today, no responce. ignored twice& will block today.

Its Macy's collection department.  I guess they work them
on the 4th of July.  The call originated from Mason, OH,
which is a suburb of Cincinnati.  Caller ID is a wonderful
thing :-)

BEWARE These people are calling from INDIA. They are trying to steal your identity. Never give your account or personal info over the phone unless you know who you are talking to. I kept them on the phone for 15 minutes just trying to find out who they were. The lady said she was from INDIA and when she found out I didn't have a Macy's card she hung up on me and we haven't heard back from them so far.

Its macys calling you guys pay your bills people!!! its not a scam. Pay your bill and i bet the phone calls stop.... lol a scam!!! its run off an automatic dialer so sometimes when you answer and it asks you to wait for a rep its because other numbers have been called and most good hearted people answer the phone and pay their bill. i work for macys collections and am in aww at how you people wont pay up

I've been getting calls from this number at least eight times a day for the past two or three weeks.  I answered the first couple of times they called, but no one ever answered after I said "Hello".  I've never had a Macy's account, but I can't say for sure that's who it is since no one on the other end ever says anything after I pick up.

I called them back after receiving multiple phone calls every day. I put the screws to the guy who answered, and he knew everything about my Macy's account including the last payments I've made and when i made them. It's all legit. They were calling me because I was behind on my payments.

Anyone that thinks this is legit and actually Macys is just an idiot.  A real company wouldn't be calling like this.  Its just a pure scam for the weak-minded folks out there.

It started yesterday 2 phone calls so far today which is Sunday I have had 6 and it is only 1:32 PM.I have not answered any of them. That is the way it will stay. They will get tired at some point.
All I can say is to warn your friends. That will help

Here is an idea. Report these people to the FTC. Here is how to do it.
Go to the FTC site which is      ftccomplaintassistant/gov
in the right hand corner there is a wood color box click on it and go for it. The more complaints they get the quicker we will get rid of these people.

I received two calls from this number so far.  I dialed back twice with *67 and there were two different people that answered with, "Credit Services".  I did not speak to them because it does sound like a scam.  Calling cell phones I thought was illegal....this is bs!

it's a foreign call center for macy's ...they speak broken english and are basically difficult to talk to....I paid my macy's bill off and refuse to shop there anymore , since they are taking jobs away from americans

OK, so it's Macys/Bloomingdales, but here's the kicker. I don't have an account with them, but my wife does, and she is late on payments. The calls are coming into my cell phone, which has no connection to her account, and is not even in my name, but in a company name. How the heck did they get MY cell number? The farging bastiches! Just because of the nuisance, we aren't going to pay them one red cent or rupee. So there!!
