We get calls from this number all times of day and night.  Worse is that they are looking for different people each time they call.  If that isnt a scam, I dont know what is

This must be a scam.  I do not now or have ever had a macy's account.  This constitutes harrassment, so i don't think it is legit.  I have received an onslot of calls and text messages the past few weeks, so somehow my phone number was given to scammers, as i do not give this cell number out.  I reccomend every report this number to the do not call registry at http://www.ftc.gov/donotcall

keep getting this call from 513-754-9822

Heck, they're calling me at 8:30 AM this morning. I don't normally pick up when I don't recognize who's calling, but I had seen this number before, never left a message. So I pick up the phone, say "hello" and there's nothing but MUSIC playing. I said "hello!" several times but it seems they called me, only to put me on HOLD! How stupid is that!? And even stupider- I don't have or even HAD any stinkin' account with MACY's, so WTF did they want?

this # keeps calling. but has not left a message. I don't want to even call it back after reading other conments.

If it IS Macy's, the Macy's employee just left a message singing la dee da dee deeeeee dah dahhhh.  It sounded like an older man.  As if THAT would make me call back.  What a professional organization.

We actually called them back. A guy with a foreign accent answered. The accent might be indian, but not sure. He asked us whether we have a Macy's card, and we said no, then the phone number, which we gave to him, then the name, and we refused to give additional information. He insisted in saying that he would not be able to help us if we did not provide the name. We asked for a supervisor, and after insisting, he hung up on us.

Whatever it is what they are doing, it smells really bad. Hopefully they stop calling.

this phone number calls about 5-6 times a day, 7 days a week and they never give up.  I just called the number and told them to stop calling me and the guy that answered barely speaks English.

I have recieved over 15 calls from this number in the past 4 days. No voice mails. Thats just excessive.

I received phone calls from this stupid number several times today. I never reply and who is it? Area code shows the call from Ohio.

I've been receiving this call as well.  It just started today on my cellphone, and that number has called me at least 5 times already.  I've tried blocking it to no avail  I figured I'd google it, and behold... similar stories here as well.

I do have a Macy's account, and never missed my monthly payments.  I'm leaning more towards a scam, since they're not leaving any voicemail messages.

CONSTANTLY CALLING AT MY PLACE OF EMPLOYMENT.

I've been getting calls from this number on my cell about 8 times a day for the past few days. No message ever left. I'm afraid to pick up...

Similar tale of woe...it's a collection agency for Macy's. These people are out of control.  I filed a complaint with the FTC 877.382.4357.  They are in violation.

Called at 10/27 at 12:09pm, 2:06pm, 4:12pm, 6:21pm, and 10/28 at 10:00am, 11:07am, 1:09pm, 3:17pm, 5:43pm, 6:02pm, and 6:18pm.

Never left message.  Must not have much to do to keep calling my home so many times.  

Thanks to this website I will double-check Macy's account and see if I need to call them.

I now have over a DOZEN of these on my call "register" - they obviously hang up if no answer.  TONITE, I ANSWERED, and had this conversation:
(Caller) Is this (my name)?
(Me)  Who is calling?
(Caller) This is a business call.
(Me) What is this regarding?
(Caller) Where am I calling from?
(Me) No.  I asked, what is this regarding?
(Caller)  This is a business call.
At this point I hung up.

I thought the national "do not disturb" registration I signed on for got you OUT of the worst of this kind of thing....??? Wrong???

FOLLOW UP to my earlier post: yes, this is indeed MACYS.  Here is the EMAIL I sent them just now:
"Please contact me as to my attempts to pay the remainder of my balance due (some $134).  Let me know how I may simply PAY this balance (my attempts on line have not proven effective).  I then wish to close my account at the earliest date possible.  Thank you-- I look forward to your email, and perhaps EVEN a telephone conversation with an actual representative of your organization."

In my opinion, these people are ultimate sleeze bags in the way they do "business".
